The guide started off well, took us to the major sites and was flexible to stop for coffee breaks when requested. We also requested to lunch at DIn Tai Fung, if it fit in the schedule, and he made attempts to get us there. At the end of the tour is where it became very awkward. The guide asked where I booked the tour, how much I paid and requested a 5 star review and tip. I deflected all the questions and still at the end he requested a tip. Despite Taiwan not having a tipping culture, we would have tipped regardless due to the service he provided. The pestering to receive a tip caused a reverse reaction. Also, after the tour, the follow day he still messaged about a 5 star review.
