This is a fun and hands-on way of learning about a traditional Japanese tea ceremony and confectionary making.. The instructor speaks good English and moves at a steady pace. It's rewarding to make the confectionery and at the end you get to enjoy them with your tea.
Even though the confirmation email states that we need to triple check the address, we still went to the incorrect address. So my advice would be to check the address several times the night before!! The address in the app may be incorrect. We still had a great time and learned a lot about Japanese sweets and matcha ceremony.
Experience the Japanese traditional matcha culture for the first time. The service is very good. The matcha teacher is very professional. Traditional Japanese interior design. Can Feel the very tradit。 Matcha is delicious. It's nice to experience different cultures.
very friendly staff and attentive. nearby shrine for you to take photos too
It’s a completely annoying and disappointing experience. Klook changed our matcha ceremony time just 1 day in advance. We went to the place and it’s a Chinese kimono rental. They don’t look like a Japanese tea ceremony place at all. They advised us the tea ceremony staff has left and service would not be provided. They wasted our time and money for transportation. Because of that, we couldn’t have enough time for another destination. It’s such a scam and we were extremely angry.

The experience of booking is very poor. The location of the event and the correct store name are marked. After going to the location, the original class is not there, and it is necessary to choose a time slot, which is a bit out of budget for the planned itinerary. As for the course, most of the time (one hour) is to learn how to make wagashi, and the matcha experience is only about 15 minutes, I feel a little bit wrong!

I had yesterday a tea ceremony that morning. But I was told when I got to the address that it was cancelled. Which I found very strange Also, the tea ceramonie was somewhere else than what was on the voucher. They assigned me at 1:00 PM. And in the end it wasn't a tea ceremony but knowing how to make something delicious and how to make matcha. It was not what on the picture. I really don't think this is okay. You don't get what you book. I was just sitting in school banks. And not in a kymono on the grond.
Hi, thank you for leaving this review and we take your feedback extremely seriously. We apologize for any inconvenience caused due to the driver did not pick you up. One of our specialists had reach out to the merchant and will provide you with an update regarding your booking soon. Your understanding will be much appreciated. Sincerely, Chris C.
[SCAM ALERT] Tickets do not show event start time, only shop opening hours 10am-7pm. We arrived around 5.45pm, only to be told that they are closing at 6pm, and the actual location of the paid activity is 15 mins walk away. First, the operating hours are wrong. Second, the shop linked on the activity page is a kimono rental, but you don't get free kimono for this activity. Third, the location of the activity is wrong. Beware when booking this activity, as they are baiting on sunk cost of "since you are at the kimono place, you'll spend more by renting a kimono before heading down to the actual venue." Would give this activity a 0/5 stars if I could. Highly not recommended.
Hi, we thank you for raising your concerns and sharing feedback on your experience - it is regrettable that things weren't up to your expectations with your booking Matcha Tea Ceremony Experience in Kyoto. This isn't what we'd hoped to hear and will be taking this as honest, constructive feedback to share within the team and merchants. What we'll do for you, is report this back to the merchant on your behalf. That said, we thank you again for choosing to book with Klook and hope to serve you again. Sincerely, Sya
