Beautiful building, location was easy to access by car though the carpark was a bit small. We bought the standard ticket was able to see beaurtiful Chinese history. I’m especially fond of the Chinese textiles spent a long time looking at the historical robes.
There is free electric car go to Palace Museum from M+. Able to use QR code and directly go in. You can spend at least 3hours inside. Have eating places inside too. Souvenir store is nice. walking to kowloon mtr station around 10 to 15mins.
Visiting "Ancient Egypt Unveiled" at the Hong Kong Palace Museum was a phenomenal highlight of my recent trip! Seeing these magnificent treasures direct from Egyptian museums right in the heart of Hong Kong was incredibly convenient. The curation is world-class, beautifully illuminating the rich history, mythology, and daily life of the pharaohs. The artifacts, from stunning jewelry to intricately carved sarcophagi, are displayed with fantastic lighting and informative, easy-to-read bilingual descriptions. The museum's modern layout made the crowds manageable, allowing for an immersive, awe-inspiring experience. It is a spectacular, must-see exhibition for any history lover passing through the city!
recommended place to go - there is history there is art. a good collection of high-value artefacts on display. special exhibition not to be missed too. 2.5h including a 45min guided tour. the level 4 chinese restaurant not bad too. all full day entry permitted.
I’ve been here for a few times. I missed coming back, I had a wonderful journey in this Museum, those exhibitions have been holding for over few hundreds years, I never thought history would be that beautiful.
My son enjoyed it so much! The Hong Kong Palace Museum was a wonderful and enriching experience. What made it especially impressive was that many of the artifacts on display were on loan from museums in Cairo, Suez, and London, giving the exhibition a truly international and world-class feel. Seeing these rare pieces outside their home institutions was a privilege and added great historical depth to the visit. The curation was well thought out, the galleries were spacious, and the displays were easy to appreciate even for first-time visitors. Knowing that these artifacts are on loan only until August 2026 makes the experience even more special and worth prioritizing. There are restaurants too if you need a break and you can always go out and back again, just tell the guard and they will give you a bracelet to re-enter.
Service: Staff is cordial and friendly. Convenience of booking with Klook: Buying e-tickets is very convenient, scan and go. Price: Bought tickets late, no package deals available, otherwise very affordable. Facilities: The overall environment is clean and tidy, feels very comfortable, visitors automatically speak softly, no noisy situations. Occasionally visitors use flash photography, and staff are very patient in dissuading them. Experience: Just happened to encounter a guided tour, their explanation was very attentive, and they were also very patient in explaining our questions, really professional. Experience: I heard that this exhibition is because the country helped Egypt study the latest excavated cultural relics, so that Hong Kong took the lead in exhibiting the treasures of ancient Egyptian documents, otherwise it would take 8 to 9 years to see them, so it is very worthwhile for us to visit.
If you don't have time to go all the way to Egypt, this place has everything ready to serve you, honey. And it's not just Egypt, there are other exhibits related to the Chinese dynasty of history. You can easily spend 2-3 hours in the museum. Outside is a garden where you can walk and enjoy the view, it's very chill. I really love the atmosphere.
