Tea House Theatre Experience



- Important: Infants and children must be included in the passenger headcount
- Participants must be aged 6+ to participate in this activity
- Concession: Half price for senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and acompanion, Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients, and full-time students. Ticket holders must present proof of eligibility on admission. Concessions are available on a first come, first served basis
- Tickets sold are non-refundable and non-exchangeable
- Please present your Klook voucher to redeem the official ticket at Xiqu Centre Ticket Office on the date. Seat will be assigned during the ticket redemption. Please refer to West Kowloon Cultural District Website for the opening hours
- Each QR code can only be scanned once.
- One person per Ticket, regardless of age.
- Children under 6 are not admitted
- You are recommended to arrive 30 minutes to redeem your tickets before the event starts
- The performance contains loud sound effects, low frequency bass vibration and smoke
- Latecomers will not be admitted until a suitable break. Food and drinks may not be consumed in the venue
- Holders of concessionary Tickets will be admitted only on production of acceptable proof of eligibility.
- Latecomers will be admitted only if there is a suitable break in the performance.
- Ticket holders must produce proof of age if required to do so by the Venue Manager.
- Children’s admission arrangements vary according to the Event.
- All Tickets are sold subject to the Terms and Conditions for Sale of Entertainment Tickets.

Presented by our very own Tea House Rising Stars Troupe and curated and directed by legendary Cantonese opera artist Law Ka-ying, the Tea House Theatre Experience is specially designed to introduce new audiences to Cantonese opera – the local form of Chinese opera or xiqu.
The 90-minute showcase selection of songs, instrumental musical pieces and performance excerpts, demonstrates a range of traditional styles through a varying programme of works exploring tales of romance, comedy, tragedy and martial arts. The experience also includes narration by an expert moderator offering insight into the history of the art form.
