Banteay Srei Landmine Museum and Butterfly Garden Day Trip from Siem Reap

Highly recommended. Landmine museum was an eye opener to Cambodia’s sad history which can still be seen today with millions of landmines yet to be recovered. Museum’s founder and curator, Aki Ra details his life in the Khmer Rouge Regime. Tour guide and posters gives insights and personal accounts of Cambodia’s history. Butterfly garden allows you to appreciate the rich diversity of local butterflies and their life cycle. Garden guide was very knowledgeable and proficient in English.

It's a worthwhile museum to visit. It's an eye-opener. I took a photo with Mr. Aki Ra at the end. He is a deminer and museum director, and he is also a hero.

Unfortunately, my driver/guide never arrived after I had waited at my pick up point for over an hour. Very disappointed that didn’t have the opportunity to go to the landmine museum However, if you’re interested in learning about how landmines have affected Cambodia and the demining process— highly recommended going to APOPO Visitor Center closer to the city center (which is what I opted to do when my tour to the Landmine museum didn’t happen)

the driver/ tour did not turn up or reply on the day of the trip. we waited for 1.5 hour. klook decided to give us a refund.

This tour was a no-show with no prior notice. I really wanted to visit the Landmine Museum, so I arranged for a tuk-tuk and went on my own.
