Siem Reap Angkor Silk Farm & Mechrey Village Half-Day Cultural Tour

The tour was fun and educational. Great insights into the silk production and the floating was village was nice to experience!

A relax and enjoyable trip, the tour guide is knowledgeable to convey the useful information to us. Stop by a local resident' floating house and see the local life. Tonle Sap is the largest lake in Southeast Asia, enjoy the boat trip. Another stop for the trip is visiting the silk farm, interesting and gain a lot of knowledge from the guide. Overall we really enjoy this trip.

No one joined the group so it was private tour for us! On time pick up at the hotel by MyProGuide... Tour guide was very knowledgeable throughout the tour! Getting to the Mechrey Floating Village was very bumpy ride but nice to see Cambodia countryside... Floating village was very quiet as there was hardly any tourists... Got to ride a boat and watch how people live on river making the best of what they have, we even saw floating school! We only saw a few birds on the way to the village, couldn't tell we were close to bird sanctuary so don't expect much... Definitely nice break from busy temple tour with so many tourists... Silk farm was a great educational stop for my 10 year old son! I now have a great appreciation for handmade silk!!! Overall it was great tour but the itinerary could be shorten to just a half day trip instead of stretching to late afternoon... We skipped lunch and we got done in 4 and a half hours from pick up to drop off, this is with us taking our time...

The guide is very kind and knowledgeable. I learned greatly about Cambodian history and contemporary Cambodia while taking a look at Cambodia’s greatest resource and arts and craft.

Initially had to cancel as silk farm was closed. Luckily managed to arrange another tour option. Top up usd20 as no one joined our group. Visited rural market, River river village and lastly a city tour which we managed to buy some coffee beans. Ended at around 3.30pm. Must apply lots of sunblock as Tuktuk ride fo the river is pretty long and bumpy. About 30-40minutes

Take a break from walking; relax, sit back and take in the wonderful view of Merchey Village. Both captain and tour guide were awesome and friendly. The NGO Silk Farm was definitely worth a visit. Our guide at the farm, Sita was very knowledgeable and passionate.

It was a memorable trip. Had to drive out of the city for about an hour. Ride was bumpy. Roads outside siem reap wasn’t too good.Got to go on the boat and had lunch in the lake/ fishing village area. Lastly visited the silk factory. It was a god experience overall.

it was good. we traveled via aircon car out to a boat. river journey. see the local life out there. silk farm was great. lots of awsome stuff in the shop to buy.

knowledgeable guide. interesting tales about the village. brave villagers. they maintain aquarium for crocodiles. children Wade through waters on Small motorised boats to school. even school is also floating on water.
