Kimono Tea Ceremony Experience at Kyoto Orizuruya, Gion

One of the best experiences we had in Kyoto, the tea ceremony was very interesting. We would definitely love to go back.

We loved the experience. The choice of kimonos and the ceremony were very beautiful and intimate.

A little apprehensive, particularly my husband, but from the moment we arrived it was a truly wonderful experience. From choosing your kimono right down to the making of the matcha tea, everything was fun, precise, informative and professionally done. We couldn’t have wanted a better experience. I would recommend everyone do this.

A lovely and authentic experience. We learned the proper way to prepare matcha and gained a better understanding of the meaning and traditions behind the tea ceremony. Wearing the traditional Japanese kimono made the experience even more special and memorable. Highly recommended!

great experience wearing a kimono and also enriching and learning about Japanese tea culture.

Excellent and authentic!!

Very great experience. A must do when you are in Kyoto

It was truly a beautiful experience. thank you!

great experience experience:

The experience was good, but we were unwelcomed by a the women who was standing at the front of the place who checked our names. Her behaviour and face made feel us for our experience.
