🌊 Wonderful Great Ocean Road Tour with Chris! 🌿 An unforgettable day with our guide Chris—warm, talkative, and full of stories. He served handmade tea, breakfast, and lunch with care, making the trip feel personal and relaxed. His storytelling brought every scene to life, with no dead air and perfect time management. The rainforest walk was a standout—Chris explained different plants and their roles in the ecosystem, adding depth and sensory richness to the experience. Safe driving, great pacing, and thoughtful touches made this tour truly enjoyable and value-packed. Highly recommended!
It was a wonderful experience. Athen brought a lot of fun and information to our tour! He was very considerate. He noticed us when and where we could fill up our water and location of toilets so that we got plans for that. The weather was amazing! All destination were fascinating except The Great Otway National Park. It was definitely not my cup of tea. It was more likely to be a stream instead of a waterfall and I could not see the view of the ocean like what had been shown on the website.
We had a fantastic time onboard this reverse tour of great ocean road! Kiwi (Chris) was such a joy to have on board as our guide and driver. He is knowledgeable on the history of all the tour sites we visited. Normally tours don’t accommodate those with an upset tummy, but kiwi made sure everyone on board was always comfortable. Definitely a must go for first timers as the views are incredible and you beat the crowds when going in reverse. We left and returned on time. We saw everything we wanted to see including koalas and kangaroos! The accommodation is quite comfortable with wifi and charging ports ( Type A ). Amazing experience for a good price! Make sure to keep warm as it can be very chilly and windy! Bring your own water bottle as there are places to fill it up for free
The view is absolutely breathtaking! The ride was incredibly smooth from start to finish, making the journey even more enjoyable. I couldn’t get enough of the stunning ocean scenery—it was truly mesmerizing!
A must tour for tourist wanting to learn about AU topography and the hostory of Great Ocean road. Craig was a pro- knows the places, shared relevant info re the places, nature, animals. Craig made sure guest are welcomed, cared for and comfortable in the bus. He was fun and courteous. The light snacks and coffee, as well as the lunch was delicious. Instructions were clear and theres enough time to explore and take pictures. I would book a tour with Craig again. Thank you heaps mate!
I was picked up on time at the designated location. it was a fruitful journey and we managed to squeeze a few more pit stops as the group was moving ahead of schedule. the quick lunch provided also did save more time for us to visit more places. Overall i would think it's value for money and most importantly the tour guide are dedicated and provided a lot of insights to the places we visited.
It was my first time to join a local reverse tour, and the experience was good. The whole trip was provided by autopia tours. I sent an email to confirm the travel order before departure. I set off at the meeting point on time at 7 am and arrived in the city at about 8 pm. Lunch was provided by the driver. The time spent at each attraction was well controlled along the way, and I was not tired at all. Because it was a reverse tour, the first place we arrived was the Twelve Apostles. It was a little cloudy, but the weather cleared up later and the scenery was still good. The driver also took us to see koalas and kangaroos in the wild. The recommended ice cream shop was also very good. He also introduced everything about the Great Ocean Road along the way. He was very enthusiastic, and the friends in the team were also very friendly.
This was a great tour indeed. The pick up time was accurate, the driver/guide was excellent and his name was Niall from Autopia tours. the transportation was at his best because the AC was working well, seats are neat and it has enough leg room. it is cater for small groups and since we did the reverse tour, we arrived at the 12 apostles before the flock of tourists arrive which are doing the regular Great Ocean Road tour. It was a long drive indeed but there are stops in which you can do stretching and toilet breaks. it is better to bring debit/credit cards as most stops if you are buying some snacks or souvenirs do not accept cash as form of payment. the lunch was sandwhich, apple or banana. I will do another tour with Autopia when I return to Australia as me and my family were so content with the tour and definitely will recommend this to my family and friends.
Wes was a fantastic tour guide and driver! As he drove, he would talk about the backstory behind the places we would be visiting. When we reached a destination, he'd come down too to help us take pictures, and as a solo traveller, that was much appreciated by me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING THIS "REVERSE" TOUR!!! As we do the tour backwards from the conventional tour route i.e. doing 12 Apostles first and heading back towards Melbourne. This means that we escaped most of the tourist crowd from the many tour groups doing the conventional route, and indeed we were the only tour bus at most of the destinations, making the tour much more chill. The bus is, as Wes calls it, an "adventure bus" and pretty squeezy, but bearable as most of the travel time between destinations are 1.5hrs or less. The weather was the icing on the cake, making the tour absolutely perfect. Overall highly recommend Wes and Autopia tours if you want to see the Great Ocean Road in a day!
