Journey into the heart of Kussharo with an Ainu artist born and raised by this lake. Your experience begins in the stillness of a private studio, carving traditional patterns into a wooden board hand-prepared by the artist. This is a meditative process—guided by the master’s ancestral wisdom, you will breathe the Ainu spirit into the wood.

The journey then moves to the lakeside. Here, the focus of the atelier shifts to the vitality of an outdoor camp. You will practice "Citatap"—the rhythmic chopping of ingredients—to prepare a hearty "Ohau" (savory soup) over an open flame. Through the artist’s stories and the traditional meal, you don't just see the landscape; you take the soul of Kussharo into yourself.
