Excellent experience using the klook hiroshima pass package, convenient booking and usage process
Such a unique and interesting experience! The boat man was so knowledgeable and helpful! We got to see an oyster farm and got close to the tori gate at Miyajima island for wonderful photos!! Would recommend this to anyone travelling in Hiroshima and Miyajima island!
When we arrived at the designated Shimada Fisheries, we were thought to be dining guests. After we showed our credentials, the staff knew we were here to take a boat, so they took us on board and took us to the oyster farming site. They used a translation app to explain the growth of oysters to us and also let us see the oysters in the sea. Afterwards, we sailed to the sea torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine. Although it was still some distance away from the torii gate, it was very beautiful to be able to see Itsukushima Shrine directly. I felt that this experience was very special.
one of the best experiences we had for this event. even though it is help by Google translate all the way we got a great view of the island and the surrounding
There was no sign indicating the meeting point upon arrival. There is no one to welcome you. Don't know who to contact But while waiting, I sat and ate grilled oysters. They were very delicious. I've never eaten delicious oysters like this before. Normal children don't eat oysters. You can eat it deliciously. The tour does not speak English. But I took him on a boat to see a shellfish farm. Then sent it to the island. Overall I like it.
Waited abit to board the small boat . Was showed around the oyster farm and drop us off at miyajima island after the tour .
The tour operators were welcoming and warm, took us out on a boat to the oyster rafts and told us how they grow, and then took us out to the great torii. When we returned, they helped us get set up for a delicious lunch (not included) of oysters on the dock. Beautiful morning!
Great experience, even though the oyster season is between Nov to May, we still get to see them grow. The farmers are very friendly and patient in explaining the process of growing oysters and about them. The torii gate view is awesome too.
Walk about 10 minutes from JR Miyajimaguchi Station to Shimada Suisan. When you arrive, you need to take the initiative to report to the staff. It is recommended to translate Japanese to communicate with the staff. Note that oyster tasting is not included.
this was an absolute hidden gem in our trip. for 30 AUD, we essentially had a private tour of the farm. experience was rustic and authentic, our guide and us had to use a google translate a fair bit, but we learnt so much. he took us so close to the tori gate at Miyajima for some of the best views of the the shrine from the water, where you could watch all the tourist scurry around. then we followed it up with so many grilled oysters and beer, it was fantastic, would recommend again and again.
