What to expect
Hotel pick-up at 10:00 AM. Start the day with a visit to Özkonak Underground City, one of the largest and deepest underground cities in Cappadocia. Visit Uçhisar Castle for a panoramic viewpoint, Avanos, a center of terracotta artworks since 3000 BC, and a demonstration at a traditional pottery workshop. Lunch at a local restaurant. And then discover the lunar landscape of Cappadocia: rock formations beyond belief in Devrent Valley. Visit the "fairy chimneys" of Paşabağ near Zelve, where the sound of the wind mixes with "fairy songs." Optional visit to some handicraft workshops. Return to the hotel around 5:30 PM.
