The driver, Xiao Zeng, was very good, providing punctual pick-up and drop-off services. He also took us to authentic local food and even helped us carry our luggage to the second floor (requiring stairs), which was definitely not part of his job. However, the tour itself had extra charges, and the arranged accommodation was very old, the water wasn't hot enough, and breakfast was crowded and chaotic. Fortunately, the hotel provided heated blankets.
This tour included Fairy Mountain, the Three Natural Bridges, and Longshui Gorge. The scenery at the Three Natural Bridges was magnificent and captivating, offering breathtaking views. The waterfalls at Longshui Gorge cascaded like silver ribbons into the deep valley, with mist swirling and a thunderous roar, making it well worth a visit. These attractions involve many stairs, uphill climbs, and downhill descents, so elderly visitors should proceed with caution. The tour guide was very responsible, enthusiastic, and always smiling, and did many thoughtful things during the tour. The car ride felt a bit like a roller coaster, which I think was due to the center of gravity and comfort level of the nine-seater van, as well as the many curves and undulations on the road from Chongqing to Wulong, causing the vehicle to sway easily.
The tour guide was very enthusiastic and professional. Even though we don't speak Chinese, we received all the necessary guidance and support. The Rainbow Hotel was quite good, but the toilet had a slight odor and was clogged.
The tour guide was very humorous and engaging, making it easy for everyone on the bus, even strangers, to interact comfortably. The timing at each attraction was also managed perfectly. What was most touching was that at the end of the tour, when we parted ways, he personally dropped each of us off at our individual hotels. For me, visiting Chongqing for the first time, this was incredibly helpful.
