What to expect
Your journey begins with a visit to Oishi Park, a renowned scenic spot offering breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji rising above Lake Kawaguchi. Depending on the season, enjoy vibrant flowers, souvenir shopping, and light refreshments.
Then, visit Saiko Iyashi no Sato, an open-air museum with traditional thatched-roof houses, where you can experience the historic charm and culture of the Mt. Fuji region.
The final highlight is the Suntory Hakushu Distillery Whisky Museum:
- Learn about the history and craftsmanship of Japanese whisky through immersive exhibits.
- Shop for exclusive bottles and gifts at the distillery’s gift shop.
- Visit the tasting lounge (charges apply, last order at 16:30) to sample limited-edition and component whiskies available only at the distillery.
