What to expect
[Katsuoji Temple] I made a special trip to Katsuoji Temple early in the morning to avoid the crowds. You can come here to feel the full positive energy and enjoy the little Daruma dolls. Every photo is beautiful! [Fushimi Inari Shrine] A famous shrine located in Kyoto, Japan. This shrine is famous not only in Japan but also internationally, especially for its thousands of vermilion torii gates that wind their way up the mountain path, forming a spectacular “Senbon Torii” (Thousand Torii Gates). [Arashiyama - Togetsukyo Bridge, Bamboo Grove, Arashiyama Scenic Train] The Arashiyama area consists of two areas: Arashiyama and Sagano. This area not only has rich cultural attractions, but also natural scenery that changes with the seasons and a retro scenic train. There are many ancient temples and shrines here, and Tenryu-ji Temple is a World Heritage Site. The famous Bamboo Grove is located between Nonomiya Shrine and Okochi Sanso Villa. As a sacred place for viewing cherry blossoms and autumn leaves, you can also rent a kimono and rickshaw, making it a great place to slow down.

Reviews
our tour guide CC was superb! I was the only english speaking participant in our group, the rest were Chinese and she never made me feel left out. she would give a history and some quick guides to the group first and then would check with me after separately! it was rainy on that day but still managed to go through the itinerary. we had enough time to go around each place and the pickup and drop off place is very convenient especially if you are staying at the dotonbori area. would recommend especially for solo travellers to save time getting lost and to know a bit of history to the places as well :)
Very good experience, beautiful sceneries, fun memories. Huahua is an excellent guide, cheerful, helpful and very accommodating. He even sang for us. Thank you very much, Huahua! Will book again!
This is a perfect package for solo traveller like me who wants a self-guided tour of multiple location. It's like getting a private transfer. We're group of 5 persons and we were given enough time to enjoy each location.
It was a great tour, covering three major attractions all in one day, despite their somewhat tricky locations. Katsuoji in particular, is not the easiest to reach, but it's definitely worth the visit. Lots and lots of Daruma!
We joined the Klook Kyoto Day Tour and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! The itinerary covered Katsuoji Temple, Arashiyama, Bamboo Grove, and Fushimi Inari Shrine, giving us a perfect mix of culture, scenery, and relaxation. Katsuoji Temple was peaceful and filled with colorful daruma dolls that symbolize perseverance and luck — truly a hidden gem. In Arashiyama, we enjoyed the beautiful mountain and riverside views while trying local snacks and browsing small shops. The Bamboo Grove was simply magical, a calm and dreamy walk surrounded by tall bamboo stalks. We ended the day at Fushimi Inari Shrine, where the endless red torii gates were just breathtaking in person. we especially loved our tour guide Apple, who was super friendly, and made the whole trip easy for everyone. Highly recommend booking this Kyoto tour via Klook if you want a convenient, enjoyable, and truly memorable way to explore Kyoto’s highlights in one day!
Received msg from tour guide Apple the night before tour. Instructions for pick up was clear with pictures and Google maps link. Love Kachi Daruma at Katsuo-ji temple most! We started early as all arrived on time thus tour ended earlier too. Will introduce to others!
The tour guide Apple's careful explanation made us look forward to the tourist destinations on the bus. Although the original four sections of scenery were reduced to three sections (missing the deer feeding in Nara), it was a reasonable arrangement considering the stop time of the itinerary. I liked Katsuo-ji Temple the most among the three sections. The temple was full of Daruma, which was very healing. The postcard stamping session made people look forward to the different looks of the postcards stamped at each stop. The whole temple had a full atmosphere. If possible, I hope this trip can be extended to 1.5 hours, which will be enough for everyone to take pictures and buy souvenirs. Arashiyama and Fushimi Inari are more of a walking, eating and drinking itinerary. The time for Fushimi Inari was not enough for us to walk to the top of Inari Mountain, which was a bit of a pity. The overall itinerary is still highly recommended!
Wonderful Day Tour with a Great Guide! We had an amazing experience with the Kyoto Arashiyama & Katsuo Temple Day Tour booked through the Klook app. Our guide, Apple, was incredibly nice, friendly, and very informative throughout the trip. The instructions to reach the meeting point were clear and accurate, including a helpful photo of the exact location. Since we arrived early, we waited at Yayoi restaurant right in front of the meeting point. It was a convenient spot to have breakfast and use the restroom before the tour started. The tour itself was wonderful—we were able to visit all the scheduled places (except Nara, which was not included in this particular tour) without any issues. We spent about one to one and a half hours at each location, which was the perfect amount of time to explore and take photos. Everything ran on time and was well-organized. Overall, this is a great value tour and I highly recommend it if you’re planning to visit Osaka and want a smooth and enjoyable day trip to Kyoto!
Day started pretty early at 7:50am but that was totally worth it would have been super strenuous if planned by myself. Special thanks to Apple and Mr Driver I forgot his name the sweetest individuals humble and super kind. starting of the journey was a bit bumpy and started a bit late due to technical difficulties but we covered all the areas with ample time in hand to visit, take pictures and do a bit of shopping. As an apology for the morning delay Apple gave us free Deer Cookies for Nara that was such so touching. 5****
We had a wonderful experience on this tour! Our guide, Jackie, was amazing—she really did her best to explain everything in English, and it made a big difference. She was friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable. The tour was well-organized, and I learned a lot while also having fun. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a meaningful and enjoyable experience!
