Shanghai + Suzhou + Hangzhou + Wuzhen 5-day tour

Great trip for a short break to explore some of the major cities in and around Shanghai. The tour guide 焦导 is very knowledgeable and managed the group well with great care and attention. Although the pace was a little rushed with fast moving visits at each stop, it was understandable given the many interesting places cover within a short time. Highly recommended for anyone looking 👀 to spend 4-5 days visiting Jiang Nan.

Great experience for the whole trip, thanks to the hospitality offer by the tour guide. She is kind and helpful to all the traveller mates along the whole journey. The food provided along the journey was basic and light, it may not suit for foreigner traveller like me ( mostly chinese cuisine for lunch and dinner). Hotel was great and breakfast variety was excellent.

This tour was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it right from the picking up from the airport to the completion of the tour. We are very grateful to Elsa for her efforts and coordination. The guide Wang Jun has rendered excellent service in conducting the activities. He is one of the best guide we have come across. He took care of everyone’s welfare and need, ensuring our safety and security at all times. He provided adequate information on each visiting sites. Both Elsa and Wang Jun are very responsive to our requests. We truly enjoy the tour, the accommodations and transportation which are beyond our expectations. We will definitely recommend to our friends and relatives who plan to visit Shanghai.

The overall itinerary was well-organized, allowing tourists to experience the beauty of Jiangnan and its rich cultural history in the shortest possible time. The tour guide, Ms. Wang Yuanyuan, was attentive, meticulous, and helpful to both the elderly and the young, and her explanations were clear. I hope Tuniu Travel will recognize and reward her for her excellent work. The downside was the accommodation. Except for the one night in Hangzhou, the other three nights' hotels were quite old. The bathroom in the Shanghai hotel on the last night had black mold and a musty smell. The floor in the Shanghai hotel on the first night was not cleaned properly and had large footprints. Regarding meals, I hope you will promote the use of serving chopsticks, especially since multiple families are dining together.

I don't recommend booking this tour!! I booked for an English speaking tour but got a feeling I was the only one who booked this tour so was combined with another group (all-chinese speaking group tour going to almost all the same places). The tour guide, Wang jun tried his best but his English was as good as my Chinese (VERY LITTLE to non-existent). I would have preferred for the tour company to have given me an option to cancel so that I could make alternative plans myself. The location of the hotels was so far away from everything eg Day 1 hotel was over one hour drive from shanghai Pudong airport. Also to get to Nanjing road east or people square (where all tourist goes) would require a 15 mins drive to fengbang metro by didi/taxi then 40 mins on the metro to Nanjing Rd East metro station. that said, the metro system was very convenient, efficient, clean, fully air conditioned and in both Chinese and English. There was a train every 5 mins.
