- 🚗Route 1: (Shanghai/Suzhou) Depart for Suzhou Humble Administrator’s Garden, Tiger Hill, Shantang Street, Pingjiang Road
- 🌅At dawn, a private car departs from Shanghai (or Suzhou city area), travels through the city, and heads straight to the ancient city of Suzhou. The first stop is the Humble Administrator’s Garden, where you can stroll around, admire the beauty of Jiangnan gardens, and appreciate the exquisite layout and ancient charm. With green water surrounding the garden, pavilions, and towers, it’s like stepping into a flowing ink painting.
- ☀️In the afternoon, transfer to Tiger Hill, explore the tomb of King Helü of Wu, ascend the Yunyan Temple Pagoda, and overlook the ancient city. With towering ancient trees and a deep Sword Pond, you can feel the historical sedimentation and the vicissitudes of time. Afterward, enter Shantang Street, with its ancient bridges, flowing water, pink walls, and black tiles, presenting a typical Gusu style. The bustling market is filled with handicrafts, allowing you to experience authentic Suzhou life.

- 🌞In the morning, our private group elegantly departs from Shanghai (or Suzhou city area), and a private car drives directly to the Jiangnan water town – Tongli Ancient Town. 🏞️Upon arrival, first step into the World Cultural Heritage Retreat & Reflection Garden, strolling through it as if traveling back to the late Qing Dynasty, where every step reveals the exquisite and elegant classical garden. Afterward, stroll across the Three Bridges – Taiping Bridge, Jili Bridge, and Changqing Bridge – to experience the ancient town’s unique custom of “walking the three bridges” and pray for happiness and good fortune.

We had a relaxing day out with Joe, who was both our driver and guide to beautiful Suzhou. The contrast between the 'new', 'old', and 'ancient' Suzhou was magnificent, as we spent time walking the Garden and experiencing the inner sanctuary of ancient Chinese accommodation that we only saw from the outside in our earlier trip to the Forbidden City in Beijing. Joe's profound knowledge and ability to link different elements with Chinese proverbs transformed this from a sightseeing experience to a learning journey. Exploring the 'Venice of the East' at Shantang Street was another highlight and if we could do it again, we would spend more time here, as there was so much to see and do! Overall, it was a great experience, made more enjoyable by Joe and his sense of humour and importantly, his safe driving on busy, congested roads in and outside of Shanghai and Suzhou.
it was lovely one day tour of beautiful Suzhou. our driver guide Joe was very attentive, approachable and knowledgeable. the van was very comfy and he drove safely. happy to recommend this tour.
Our tour guide Ms Sun is very good. She explained the history thoroughly to us while we are on our way to the attraction so that we will know the background when we reach the place. The journey was very smooth and the itinerary time was just right. The Driver Mr Fu was very friendly and also gave us some advice on how to take the high-speed rail etc. We had a great time on this trip!
So satisfied! The tour is very organized, we ride in very comfortable car thanks to Mr. Xu as our driver. Ms. May as our tour leader is very attentive and knowledgable. We have so many good picture thanks to her, she really makes effort for this, including clearing so many people to make sure that it is only us in the picture😁. Thank you! I really recommend this tour if you want to visit Suzhou from Shanghai.
a bit disappointed cuz we can’t go to humble garden cuz we went there late and no one entry ticket. I think it’s better for the Tourguide to remind us to be faster cuz the ticket is going to sold out or sth but he didn’t say anything. rushed to the garden and say no ticket. but in the end he managed to replace another garden for us. although the guide is good, but I was disappointed with the tour some places kids are free of charge but the didn’t mention in the tour when do booking. so I booked a full price for my 3 kids.
Excellent service, our guide Ms Sun is very knowledgeable on the jiangnan and Chinese history. She kept us entertained throughout the trip and provide clear explanation and background of every attraction that we went. she even helped to keep our kids entertained, the itinerary was flexible and accommodate our travel plans. she even suggested where we could have good and affordable meals in Shanghai

Booked a private tour with pickup from our accommodation in Shanghai. Our guide, Ms 孙姗姗, was very knowledgeable and friendly. She was clearly very passionate about the local culture and history and her enthusiastic sharing made us appreciate the depth of cultural heritage of the locations that we visited. I was initially concerned that the itinerary might be too hectic as my family group included one very active 3 yo boy, my pregnant wife, and her elderly mother. However, I didn't need to worry as our Ms 孙 helped us pace ourselves and even helped us out when we needed extra hands taking care of our boy. I am very grateful to her and our driver for making the experience a very memorable one for my family. A great 5 star experience and would definitely recommend.
