Reviews
Private small bus to bring us to Shirakawago and Takayama. Our guide was very knowledgeable about a lot of stuff, but when she was talking in the bus (she was in the front), some couldn't hear very well in the back. For the rest, very good!
The experience was amazing! I love that it was a small group, which made meeting up a lot easier. Our toue guide and driver were so nice and informative. They made sure we get to our next spot before it got really crowded. I would definitely book this again!
We loved this tour! It was fabulous to be able to explore Shirakawago with a knowledgeable guide, and Takayama had some unexpected delights like the festival float exhibition hall. I'm glad we picked this option!
this was a great way to see shirakawago and takayama from Kanazawa. a long day, but gets you everything you want. I might suggest a visit to the higashi chaya district of Kanazawa instead of takayama as you get the same old town wooden village style without the travel. shirakawago is definitely worth the travel. an amazing village of traditional gassho houses. the tour allowed for plenty of time at the village. in takayama we started at a festival float museum to see the amazing tall wooden structures that are bought into the streets twice a year, then walked the streets of old town. the sannomachi street is busy with tourists, but a sight to see!
The attitude was very good and the explanation was very detailed, but the only drawback was that the lunch time was relatively short and rushed. After a quick lunch in Gaoshan, there was no time to visit the old street. But the itinerary was rich and I had to make choices. Overall, I was very satisfied
our guide Hiroko was the best part so knowledgeable so enthusiastic so wanting to share all that she knew she loved her job and it showed even our driver was so immaculate all these things made our trip unforgettable
Awesome tour. We were the only participants so this was like a private tour for us. Kudos to the tour company for not cancelling the trip even with just 2 people attending. Both the guide and driver were super attentive.
We enjoyed our snapshot of Shirakawa-go and Takayama with our guide Mariko-san. She was knowledgeable and friendly. We wish we could have had more time to soak up the sights in Takayama!
Tge tour leader from JTB ( Yuumi ) is excellent , have very good knowledge about fhe areas and spots we are visting .. she is also hery helpful
knowledgeable and well spoken guide. I would have liked more time in Shirakowago, being able to see the museum is more meaningful than just wandering around the town because the museum has explanations for the displays. our itinerary didn't allow enough time to see the museum across the river.
