The experience was very good. The guide didn't speak English very well and used a translator to give us the information. We would have liked to learn a bit more about the places from the guide.

Providing more written information could be beneficial for learning more about the history of the places we visited. We were with an elderly person, and the pace felt very rushed considering there were four tours. But in the end, everything was fine, and we really enjoyed the places we visited.

During the 7-day 6-night free travel, I specially arranged a day to sign up for a group tour in Kyoto. The main attractions this time were Kinkakuji Temple, Kiyomizu Temple and Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. The overall itinerary was all the attractions I really wanted to visit. I was super nervous before departure, after all, it was my first time traveling in this way, and I wanted to participate selfishly, but in fact I really felt great. The entire time control and itinerary arrangement were all very appropriate. I would like to thank our tour guide Xiao Fu (Alvin) 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. During the trip, he explained the history of the attractions in Chinese and English, and shared many recommended restaurants, allowing us to use time quickly and accurately, and he would also remind everyone in the group of the meeting time and place in a timely manner. Our group had a large number of people and we took the bus, but Xiao Fu still cared about everyone's situation, whether there was anything they wanted to eat, etc. He was always willing to help. Especially when my son fell and injured both knees, Xiao Fu immediately went to buy disinfectant and dressings for us. I am really grateful, otherwise we might not be able to have fun. The child felt embarrassed afterwards and wanted to thank this big brother. We returned to Osaka at nearly 6 o'clock and had plenty of time to go shopping. After returning home, everyone felt that they had a fulfilling and happy day.

Itsuki was an excellent guide who provided us with a wealth of information about Geisha culture and history. We learned a lot during the tour, and she also offered great recommendations for other activities to enjoy while in Kyoto. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in Geisha culture and the history of Gion.

Amy was a wonderful tour guide. She was very friendly and took some lovely photos for us. Very kind and informative on the places we were going to. The tour was fast paced but we were able to experience everything we wanted. Highly recommended if you are short on time and want to experience as many things as possible.

If you want to experience the real Kyoto, this **Gion Geisha Cultural Tour** is a perfect choice. It gave me a closer look at the world of geiko and maiko, something I had only seen in movies before.
The tour started at the **Gion Kagai Art Museum**, full of beautiful displays about the life and traditions of Kyoto’s flower streets. I loved seeing the colorful kimonos and learning about the tools and routines of geiko life. If you’re lucky, you might catch a live performance by a maiko or geiko—it’s truly special!
The best part of the tour was visiting a **private ochaya (teahouse)**. The owner, a former geiko, was so kind and shared many interesting stories about her life. She also prepared matcha tea for us in a traditional way. Watching her movements, which were so smooth and precise, felt almost like watching a dance. We also got to enjoy wagashi (Japanese sweets), which were soft, sweet, and delicious.
Then came the highlight: a live dance performance by a maiko. Her movements were graceful and full of emotion, and the music from the shamisen (a traditional instrument) made it even more beautiful. Even though I couldn’t understand the lyrics, the performance touched me deeply.
This tour isn’t just about learning history—it’s about feeling the beauty of Kyoto’s traditions. It’s easy to enjoy even if you don’t know much about Japanese culture.
**Tip:** Don’t forget to take a photo with the maiko after the performance. It’s a memory you’ll treasure forever!

José is a great guide, we booked the tour as our first activity in Kyoto, and Jose gave us spot-on recommendations that allowed us to avoid large crowds while still getting a good feel for both Kyoto's nightlife and cultural significance. We asked for a fast-faced tour and he had us covered so much ground. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Today, 8 of my friends and family participated in a wonderful tour. I was deeply impressed by our tour guide, Li Fei. I really want to recommend him to everyone! Tour guide Li Fei not only has a wealth of knowledge, but also can explain the history and culture of each attraction in an easy-to-understand way, which also broadened our horizons while we were visiting. His humorous remarks made the atmosphere of the whole team relaxed and happy, and the fatigue of the trip instantly dissipated. More importantly, Li Fei cares about the needs and feelings of each member of the group. He always carefully asks about everyone's situation to ensure that everyone can enjoy the fun of the journey. His sense of responsibility makes us feel at ease, knowing that under his leadership, we will definitely have a pleasant travel experience. In short, if you have the opportunity to participate in Li Fei's guided tour, I believe you will feel his professionalism and enthusiasm like me. Highly recommended to everyone!
