Ashikaga Flower Park is a beautiful garden in Tochigi Prefecture that's famous for its stunning flowers. Every year, from April to May, the park holds the Great Wisteria Festival when the wisteria trees are blooming. Visitors can walk through a magical tunnel of wisteria blossoms that come in purple, pink, and blue colors. You can also see the amazing Tunnel of White Wisteria there. The park doesn't just have wisterias; it also features different flowers for every season. In spring, you can see cherry blossoms, and in winter, the garden turns into a twinkling wonderland in the bejeweled flower garden. With eight floral seasons, you can enjoy colorful flowers no matter when you visit. A visit to this park is a great way to take a break from city life and enjoy nature.

Visited Total of 4 spots. First to Persimmon farm. No picking experience but all you can eat during the visit. Is quite early, can't really stomach too much. Next to Kairakeun Garden, the walk to the park from the carpark was a bit far thou, having less than 30mins there. just touch n go. Hitachi seaside park is beautiful. Having bento lunch next to the flowers are quite an experience. Last stop to mentai park for a quick bite of mentaiko icecream. All in all pleasant tour. Tour guide Yuri is a patience n nice lady. Even gives us souvenirs along the trip.

This tour was of the highlights of our Japan trip! I still can’t believe that I finally got to see the fields of kochias in real life and we were surprisingly blessed with a fine weather. Our group was even featured in the local news! How amazing is that? 😄Our tour guide, Misa, was very professional, knowledgeable and well prepared of the places that we visited. And our driver was efficient that we were able to travel safe and be back to Tokyo earlier than planned despite the expected traffic. Such a highly recommended tour. How I wish we could visit again in spring time. ☺️

Ayumi is so good to me, she waited for me even though I was horribly late. After that, I was always waaaay too early to come back 😅. I guess the only downside I could say is that there wasn't any flowers blooming in Mito Kairakuen park, so it could have been skipped.

[tour on Oct 23th] a very fun experience! We started with fruit-picking, and the fruit in season are persimmon. It is all-you-can-eat, but 1 person may be able to eat only 1-2 fruits in 40 minutes time. Pre-picked food make us able to enjoy eating the sweet and crunchy kaki. Then, we went to Kairakuen. Because it is October, there is not much to see here.. the plum tree was all branch and trunk. After that, we ate delicious Japanese bento for lunch. Next is the hitachi seaside park. The weather was not good on the time we went, but the kochia was so cute and pretty. We went on weekday so it is not too crowded. Lastly, we went to Mentai park. The mentai produced here and mentai softcream was so delicious. Must buy! Our guide (Seiko-san) was kind and patient. He was informative and the itinerary went well because of him (and also Mr. driver). ☺️👍
