This past Christmas Eve, our family went to Fukuoka to celebrate Zai Zai's third birthday, and we specially invited photographer Alfred to take a series of photos for us as a memento. The photographer was very attentive, contacting me in advance to understand the purpose of the shoot and the style I wanted, and also suggested shooting locations (because Marine World Uminonakamichi Park is closed on Tuesdays, Alfred was flexible and provided us with other location options) and preparing small props (although I didn't prepare any in the end 😂). On the day of the shoot, Alfred was very patient. My Zai Zai was too active, running around, and Alfred ran around with him throughout the entire session, capturing Zai Zai's movements. I am very grateful to Alfred. I love this series of photos, it's exactly the style I wanted 🫶🏻. Thank you for running around for over an hour that day 👍.

The photographer, Murozono-san, was very professional and experienced, providing a lot of knowledge on timing, positioning, direction of the sun etc. to provide a fruitful photoshoot session.

The staff is friendly and helps us as professionals dress. The standard kimono option has quite a bit of selection; if you want more, you should pay more, but it's okay to wear them because you can select the accessories to match your dress for more cuteness. (I paid for a hairstyle, 1100 yen, and hair accessories, 5 at 550 yen each.) The location is in a small building; the Tenjin location is on the 4th floor. I recommend taking the bus to Ohori Park Japanese Garden to take pictures; it's so nice (park entry fee 250 yen).

- Wide Selection: Lots of choices for both men's and women's kimonos/yukatas, with beautiful colors and patterns.
- Excellent Service: The staff are friendly, welcoming, and can generally communicate well in English.
- Professional Hairstyling: The hairstylists are very meticulous and create stunning hairstyles, plus there's a wide variety of hair accessories to choose from.
- Perfect Location: Very close to Dazaifu, only an 8-minute walk away, so you can start sightseeing right after changing.
- Comfortable Environment: The shop is clean and tidy, making you feel very comfortable.
We wore yukatas at the end of September, and the weather was perfect, not too hot. The whole experience was very enjoyable, and we highly recommend it to travelers who want to experience wearing a kimono!

We booked the last time slot at 2:00 PM, but were unfortunately 30 minutes late due to traffic. We were so sorry, but the staff still greeted us warmly! They offered a lot of styling advice while we were choosing our outfits, which felt both professional and friendly. My child had a great time playing and getting dressed up. The staff also kindly helped us take photos in the store, so we have some beautiful family pictures. It suddenly rained while we were out and about, and our clothes and bags got wet, but the staff didn't mind at all, which we really appreciated. This experience was my child's favorite and most enjoyable part of the whole trip!

In addition to the Yufuin no Mori train requiring advance seat reservations, I was able to reserve Shinkansen seats at the machine the day before visiting Kumamoto Castle and Kokura!

Exchange (Usage) Guide: Jimmy was a really kind guide. He was fluent in Chinese and English. I listened intently as if taking an English listening comprehension test, but only understood about 1/3 of it, so I contacted the guide via KakaoTalk, and he was worried and explained it to me in Korean..! 🥹 I went with my family of 5, and I was so grateful that he took good care of us. The photo Jimmy took in Mount Aso was the best photo from the trip! Thank you so much, Jimmy.
Price: Very reasonable
Included Transportation: The bus seats are a little small, please expect to arrive around 7:10-7:20 PM and make restaurant reservations accordingly.

The JR Pass is excellent value! We only waited about 5 minutes in line at the Kansai Airport counter, and the staff immediately helped us reserve seats on the Haruka train. From queuing to boarding, it took just 15 minutes in total.
It's fantastic to have unlimited rides on the Hello Kitty Shinkansen and trips to Hiroshima included. For a 5-day pass focused on the Kansai area, it offers extremely high value.
The only downside is that it doesn't cover Nozomi or Mizuho Shinkansen services between Kyoto and Osaka/Shin-Osaka. However, the Thunderbird limited express train that operates on the same route is also very comfortable and pleasant."

Easy booking through Klook. Super easy redemption at the airport. Seat reservation: No problem at the machine. But not always necessary, sometimes we just rode in the unreserved car. Staff always very friendly. We used it in Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and Hiroshima. Everything worked out great.
