Things to do in Ito

This trip was in a family setting and together with my niece who loved cappybara. The zoo is very clean and well kept. It is far from Tokyo but this is less crowded. Buying tickets online makes it convenient to enter.

I highly recommend booking a group tour for the Izu day trip; every attraction we visited was beautiful, and the experience was excellent. However, the weather is crucial. When I went, it was slightly overcast, so the sea captured from the sightseeing train wasn't as blue, but the scenery along the way was still lovely. My personal favorite was Mount Omuro; it was adorably green, like a matcha pudding. Even though it wasn't a perfectly sunny day, it didn't detract from my experience exploring Mount Omuro. The Cactus Park is diagonally opposite the base of Mount Omuro. Our driver mentioned we could allocate our own time to visit Mount Omuro and the park, but I chose to spend more time at Mount Omuro's attractions and didn't enter the park, so I can't comment on it. The driver arranged for this trip was very punctual and responsible. There were people of different nationalities in the car, and he introduced each attraction to us in both English and Chinese, with very clear directions. The seats in the car were clean and comfortable. Overall, the experience was quite good, so I recommend everyone choose this Izu day trip! I wish you all a pleasant journey and sunny weather!

Mila was our guide and she was amazing! She explained everything clearly and went above and beyond for me. It was a long day but the spots were beautiful if you just wanted a quick day trip/break from Tokyo. I am a solo female traveller also and I thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Her explanations of the attractions were clear, and she thoroughly covered all important details. She also managed every meeting time perfectly, allowing the entire itinerary to proceed smoothly as planned. I particularly appreciate her "gentle but principled" approach to leading the group. When she needed to remind group members, she always maintained a soft demeanor but firmly insisted that everyone adhere to the schedule and group rules. I believe a good tour guide isn't necessarily about providing excessive service, but rather about clearly communicating what needs to be said and effectively managing what needs to be controlled, allowing travelers to enjoy their journey with peace of mind. Omgosh! This was a long drive, but Mr. Jhon was amazing. We had a random stop for Potty Break and found some unique snacks. Hakone is so beautiful and green in June. The weather was perfect and we saw Mt. Fuji so many times.

The tour guide thoughtfully considered everyone's schedule since many activities could be delayed by rain. In fact, a heavy thunderstorm caused the Mount Omuro ropeway to be suspended, but this was due to weather and no one's fault. Overall, we want to thank our tour guide Cora. It was still a very enjoyable day tour.

We had a wonderful experience on this Izu day tour! The meeting point was easy to find, and our driver spoke excellent English, making everything easy to understand. He was also very accommodating, especially whenever anyone needed a bathroom break. Although we were disappointed that Mt. Omuro was closed, the tour operator informed us ahead of time that it would be unavailable from June 15 to 25, which we appreciated. Instead, we visited Izu Shaboten Zoo, and it became one of the highlights of our trip. Interacting with the capybaras was so much fun, and many of the animals roamed freely, making the experience even more memorable. Jogasaki Coast was breathtaking, and crossing the Kadonowaki Suspension Bridge offered incredible ocean views. The seaside train ride was also scenic and relaxing. Even without Mt. Omuro, this tour exceeded our expectations and is one I would happily recommend.

We had a big bus to a cozy group of about 12 people. The ride was comfortable since the journey was long but we were given breaks at rest stops along the way. The guides took good care of us. The weather was great and we were given enough time to explore Jogasaki coast and Mt Omuro. The latter was foggy at times and taking a walk around the crater felt mystical because of the fog and illusion of low hanging clouds. It was also cooling to walk around which was a good respite from the hot humid summer.
