I visited the "Sou Fujimoto: Architecture as Forest: Primitive Future" exhibition at the Mori Art Museum. Immediately upon entering, I was overwhelmed by the sight of hundreds of models lined up. From Fujimoto's early works, his concept of incorporating forest-like complexity into architecture is conveyed in an easy-to-understand manner through videos and sketches. In particular, the 1/5 scale model of the Osaka Expo's Grand Roof Ring was immersive, allowing me to experience a vision of the city of the future. I felt the potential of architecture in his approach of blurring the boundaries between nature and artifice, and it made me want to see more of his work. Overall, it was a wonderful exhibition that stimulated my intellectual curiosity. The Mori Art Museum was beautiful and felt like a sacred place, filled with many visitors looking to enjoy art.

It was convenient that I could purchase a ticket on the day itself online. The exhibition itself was interesting and it was nice to see the many models upclose.

I enjoyed this exhibit very much! I wasn't expecting it, but the moment I stepped in the exhibition hall I was moved by the scale models --- which actually felt like sculptures already. My favorite part was the Book Lounge, where each book had it's own "reading chair" and you could also view the Tokyo skyline. I also enjoyed the video interview with Mr. Fujimoto -- how he related his childhood days wandering in the nature and forests to the "urban jungle" of Tokyo.

Educational and astonishing works by Fujimoto - a true legend. A fantastic look into his creations, with the bonus of a spectacular view of Tokyo.

I must say that I went hoping to see something else, it was a misunderstanding on my part, there's no permanent exhibitions. So I still took the time to learn about Sou Fujimoto and his vision of architecture and design. I was interesting, but as architecture is not one of my passions, had I not made my mistake, I would have not gone to this expo.

The exhibition is very comprehensive, covering Sou Fujimoto's design philosophy, architectural models from various periods, and finally, the planning and imagination of future cities, and how people can coexist and thrive with the urban environment. The scene of the large roof is simulated on-site, and there is even a small theater with architectural plush toys.

It's an enriching and rewarding exhibition. The content of the exhibition fully demonstrates the architect's process from conception to execution, and you can feel many breakthroughs in the creation process.

A very interesting exhibition with diverse sections that can keep you occupied for quite a while. There are also comfortable rest areas with books behind the chairs for relaxed reading, and the stunning high-altitude views from the 52nd floor are amazing. Architect Sou Fujimoto's design is truly impressive and worth seeing.
