Chartering a car to the annual illumination event is a fantastic choice. The chartered car driver and guide, Master Zhao (Tony), is very professional in both driving and explanation. Not only does it save you the trouble of transferring between vehicles, but you can also visit Takayama Old Town before heading to Shirakawa-go!

Very good, guide drive very safely, and the village is so beautiful and cinematic. Worth to go. Luckily, the tour members are very kind and helpful so we make it outside the cold weather, should come once in a lifetime experience, not many peoplein the light up festival as I thought. The weather is cold, but warm heart. Recommend visit one in a lifetime, it’s beautiful in every season!
