Overall I quite enjoyed my stay even though I have been to Damai Resort previously. The facilities such as swimming pools are in good condition and the beach is clean too. Besides that, the hotel services provided are excellent. In term of the food however it needs further improvement. The evening buffet at Cafe Satang lacked in choices and looked very ordinary. Outside the hotel, Sunset Club offers good beer and other drinks. The food is supplied directly from Cafe Satang. Again there is not much selection of finger food and snacks. We tried order pizza but it was not available. The room is spacious and clean.

Booked a basic room with a reasonable price. No complaints on the facilities provided. However, when i arrived at the place at 144pm, I was told the room was not ready for check in yet, and i was advised to try again at 230pm. I understand that check in time is from 3pm onwards. But I was turned away when the front desk staff did not even check which room I have booked. I guess it's just a standard statement for all the guests before 3pm. Ideally early check in with extra charges should be offered to guests if the room is ready.

Check-in was scheduled for 3:00 PM, but my family arrived at 3:20 PM. They informed us the room was not yet ready. Eventually, at 3:30 PM, they received a call and were able to get a room. In this aspect, they need to improve. It's understandable that it is a school holiday. However, check-out is already at 3:00 PM, which is quite late. Postponing this while check-out is at 12:00 noon is not ideal.

Great location to be away from the city, nearby Sarawak Cultural Village - which is a must go place! Staff are kind and very welcoming. The furnitures are little bit on the old side, but I have no complains. Rooms are kept clean but few spots beach area are not too well maintained. Breakfast has considerably good selections of menus though I was there during low season.
