Things to do in Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau

I visited Sant Pau Hospital on May 1, 2026. I hesitated about going in, but since I was there, I decided to book a same-day tour, and it was absolutely the right decision. The exterior is beautifully and impressively adorned with colorful decorations, but the interior is also much larger than I expected, and the ability to explore at a leisurely pace is a major draw. It's hard to believe it's a hospital, as the design attention to detail is so meticulous, creating a space that feels more like an art museum. There were relatively few people, allowing for a calm and enjoyable viewing experience, and with so many highlights, I was very satisfied. Furthermore, there are many photo spots where you can see the Sagrada Familia, making photography enjoyable as well. It's a highly recommended tourist destination where you can appreciate both architecture and scenic views.

Great architecture. i had fun having shots at the rooftop- it was just so hot though. Doing the tour with the audio guide is also better as you learn lots from the story behind it.

The Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona is an absolute masterpiece of Catalan Modernisme architecture. Designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, this UNESCO World Heritage Site takes your breath away the moment you step inside. The magnificent stained-glass skylight in the main concert hall illuminates the room with warm, colorful sunlight, creating a truly magical ambiance. Attending a live guitar performance here is an unforgettable experience—the acoustics are top-notch, and every detail, from the sculptures to the vibrant tilework, enhances the atmosphere. Whether you take a guided tour to admire the exquisite details or catch a concert, it is a must-visit destination for art and music lovers alike.

I found the explanation quite clear, and afterward, we were free to stay and admire the church. What sets the Sagrada Familia apart from other churches is its bright, joyful, and natural atmosphere. The exterior of the Sagrada Familia also tells many stories.

It was an amazing experience seeing Sagrada Familia up close! Our guide Tony gave us so many more details that we would have definetely missed if we were on our own. Highly recommend booking this experience.

Our Spain trip was planned for fifteen days. Since the shopping village was close to our first hotel, we decided to visit it during the first few days! On weekdays, the afternoon bus schedule has longer intervals, so after lunch, we waited a bit for a bus to arrive. Unfortunately, I mistook the bus company and waited at the wrong platform... so we ended up browsing nearby for another two hours until the next bus. Thankfully, everything else was very satisfactory. I even managed to buy the Spanish shoe brand, Camper, that I had been looking forward to, and it happened to be during an additional discount promotion at the shopping village, which made me very happy! Both the outbound and return journeys were very pleasant. The only minor inconvenience was that the station restrooms were under renovation, and only temporary facilities were available (and the women's restroom only had two stalls, which is very different from what we're used to in Asia). Aside from that, everything was great. The driver even waited until everyone had disembarked before opening the luggage compartment, to prevent anyone from accidentally taking the wrong bag.

Park Güell, designed by the modernist architect Antoni Gaudí, is Barcelona, Spain's most iconic World Heritage Site. Originally intended as a failed "garden city" private luxury residential area, it later transformed into a whimsical public park. The park is a must-visit attraction for anyone traveling to Barcelona, featuring natural lines, colorful mosaic tiling (Trencadís), and fantastical architecture throughout.

Brilliant tour indeed. The architecture of the building is really unique and beautiful. The audio guide is very good.We really enjoyed this and highly recommend if it’s your first time in Barcelona. experience:

I thought there might be no point in coming if I couldn't see a match, but that idea vanished in an instant. The museum's exhibits are all incredibly well-conceived. There are numerous displays where you can learn about the history of Barcelona. Although I wasn't alive during Cruyff's playing days, the valuable exhibits, which I'd only seen in videos, are a must-see. Two hours flew by in no time.
