Visiting Hallstatt from Vienna was extremely well-organized, allowing us to relax and take in the stunning Austrian countryside along the drive without worrying about transfer logistics. ​Hallstatt itself is even more beautiful in person—the scenic lake views, charming alpine architecture, and postcard-perfect spots made every moment memorable. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

I had a wonderful experience with Lily as our tour guide. She has a very pleasant and soothing voice, which made listening to her explanations truly enjoyable throughout the trip. Lily is also extremely polite, friendly, and professional in the way she treated with everyone. What impressed me the most was her deep knowledge and passion for the places we visited. She explained everything clearly and made the history and culture come alive in a way that was easy to understand. She was also very attentive, always making sure that everyone in the group felt comfortable and included. In addition, Lily managed the schedule very well, keeping everything organized while still allowing us enough time to explore and take photos. Her positive attitude and warm personality made the whole experience even more memorable. I highly recommend Lily to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, kind, and engaging tour guide. She truly made the trip special.

I was very impressed with this half-day tour. It's perfect for someone like me who has limited time. The journey was comfortable, taking only 1.5 hours for the round trip to Hallstatt from Salzburg. Additionally, there were many beautiful views along the way. The guide was very knowledgeable. This tour allowed 2.5 hours to walk around the village, which I found to be sufficient.

Our day trip to Hallstatt was unforgettable, thanks to Klook's itinerary. From the meeting time and location (Opera House, 7 AM), the guide's explanations were incredibly clear and easy for a layperson to understand, covering the history of Hallstatt, the history and formation of the salt mines, and the story of the Habsburg dynasty. Once we arrived, the guide led us on a tour of the town, patiently reminding everyone of the meeting times and important details, which gave me the fresh feeling of going on a field trip as a child. Thank you again! Of course, the scenery in Hallstatt is also breathtakingly beautiful. I'm so glad I joined this tour, and I highly recommend it!

Our driver was very polite, friendly, and explained everything about each destination. He made us feel very comfortable. Our driver and guide shared all the history of each places, he took our tons of pictures which was so lovely, He even let us play our own music, which made the trip more fun. We shared some beautiful stories and had a great time together. They also provided snacks and bottled water, and stopped for small breaks during the trip. The tour was amazing! 🤩 We really enjoyed Austria 🇦🇹. It is such a beautiful place, and we already miss it. This tour operator is very professional, I really enjoyed this tour. Ottavia and our driver were fantastic! Ottavia was incredibly hands-on and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. She took excellent care of us and shared interesting historical insights about the places we passed along the way. The complimentary coffee and water, biscuits, candy, postcards, and photo service were such lovely surprises and really added to the experience. We truly appreciated all the thoughtful touches!

This day trip actually consists of two half-day tours: a morning trip to Hallstatt, followed by a return to Salzburg city center at midday, and then an afternoon tour of "The Sound of Music" filming locations. The guides for both tours were very professional, providing detailed and humorous explanations. The morning trip to Hallstatt is highly dependent on the weather; there's an observation deck on the mountain offering panoramic views of the entire lake district, but the cable car ticket is an additional cost. Alternatively, you can simply walk around the town and enjoy its atmosphere. In the afternoon, you'll visit several filming locations from "The Sound of Music." Most allow you to get off the bus to explore and take photos, while a few are viewed from the tour bus. "The Sound of Music" soundtrack is also played on the bus, which really helps you immerse yourself in the movie's scenes and atmosphere.

Our family of six formed a perfect group, and the itinerary was very flexible. Ibrahim, our driver and guide, was incredibly enthusiastic and professional. He took us to several classic photo spots and even suggested routes for us. In one day, we visited St. Gilgen, St. Wolfgang, and Hallstatt – a perfect Lake District trip. Highly recommended!
