Things to do in Mount Field National Park

I had such a great time! Well paced, great scenery, a good workout for all ages and best of all a really friendly, knowledgeable and sincere guide who also skilfully drove us around. Loved all his stories and jokes. Never had such a pleasant tour, nothing to complain about. Pack warm clothes!

The animals at the wildlife sanctuary are fine. Unzoo is more worthwhile for seeing the Tasmanian devils, but the kangaroos are more interactive. The scallop pie at Richmond is delicious, and the scenery is also beautiful.

It was a very enjoyable and comprehensive trip around the island. We had a good variety of activities and landscapes to explore: mountains, beaches, rainforests, sand dunes. The weather was amazing too, which made the experience even better. Our guide Jason was a very good driver and guide throughout the entire trip, making sure we’re always on time and safe. Highlights were definitely Cradle Mountain and Bays of Fire.

It was good, though the itinerary was packed and a bit rushed, as we visited four attractions in one day. It's suitable for animal lovers and those looking for a day trip near the city. We joined a local tour group, and the guide was a local who provided interesting insights into the culture and history.
