This tour is highly recommended! You can visit the Citadel, temples, and mausoleums of Hue with a guide who is full of hospitality. Since the tourist spots in Hue are a bit far apart, you can efficiently tour them with a private car. The guide has studied Japanese considerably, so I was able to learn a lot about not only Hue but also Vietnamese culture. They were able to answer questions I had about traveling in Vietnam, and thanks to the guide, my trip to Vietnam was even more fulfilling! In addition, we were staying at a different hotel from the day before the tour and the hotel we were planning to stay at on the day of the tour, but they were flexible enough to accommodate our request to be picked up at one hotel and dropped off at another. For lunch, we were able to eat a traditional Hue course meal. Hue cuisine was the most delicious of my Vietnam trip, and it was a very valuable opportunity since it is difficult to find Hue restaurants on your own! DMZ Tour – A Powerful and Thought-Provoking Experience This tour took us to key locations that shaped the course of the Vietnam War, offering a deep and immersive look into history. What I truly appreciated was that the guide presented the facts without judgment, allowing us to reflect on the events ourselves. At the same time, he used a great sense of humor to make the heavy subject matter more engaging and digestible. It’s a long day with a lot of traveling, but that actually gives you time to process everything you see along the way. For me, this was one of the most impactful excursions I’ve done in Vietnam—a must for anyone interested in history.

nice bus, nice tour guide so far i had during my trip in this central vietnam. the tour guide explained a lot. nice tomb that we went, palace is good (just that not enough time to take free n easy picture), lunch was very good. the best part they dropped us at hue hotel instead of going back to hoi an again

I chose the afternoon session, and it was one of my favourite things I did in Hoi An. First the guide picked me up from my hotel and we drove to the My Son Sanctuary (approx 30min), the guide explained to us the history of the Champa peoplr. Our guide was lovely, and very informative. The My Son Tour itself was great, our ticket included a bus for some of the way, there wasn't heaps of walking definitely accessible. However, it was super hot and humid (June/July), our guide kept us supplied with water the whole time. The history of the sites was explained and we watched a traditional musical/ dance performance which was amazing. On the way back we took a boat ride to Hoi Ans old town. I loved this boat tour, the ride was longer than the other ones I had taken in this city and we got to see a lot more of the river, also they supplied us with a Bahn Mi which was so tasty. Then we could chose to be dropped at our hotel or stay in Old Town. Overall, such a good experience and great value.

We joined the My Son Sanctuary half-day tour, and Mr. Hieu was extremely professional, making the whole trip smooth and enjoyable. He has a deep knowledge of Vietnamese history and culture, and we learned so much during this journey! We highly recommend the half-day tour provided by Mr. Hieu.

Love this tour as it took us on boat rides and visiting the two famous tombs in Hue which was hard to get to on our own. They also took good care of us and explained the history of Hue very well. we were also fed really well and get to try delicious local Hue food. The group was as just 9 people which was more comfortable and intimate.
