Things to do in Cusco

The Sacred Valley's Pisac ruins, Ollantaytambo ruins, and Machu Picchu are must-visit attractions to learn about Inca history and enjoy the local customs. The only fee that is not included is the 70 sole entrance ticket for the four Sacred Valley attractions, which must be paid separately. The travel agency arranged professional and enthusiastic guides for both the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu sections of the tour. The journey was so smooth and natural under the guidance of the tour guides that I can recommend it to friends and family. The only things to pay attention to are reminding the local travel agency to be on time for pick-up and drop-off, and ensuring that the self-service lunch on the first day is scheduled at the optimal time to avoid running out of food.

Jose was fantastic, very accommodating and approachable, and did not leave us throughout our journey to Machu Picchu. He served as our guide from Cusco to Aguas Calientes. The logistical peace of mind was much needed and was well executed by the staff. Everything was seemless and a breeze. The logistical staff and the guide at the site were very friendly and knowledgable. Machu Piccu is a site to experience at least once in your lifetime!

I joined this tour hoping to experience it during my stay in Cusco. I was picked up around 4 AM near my hotel, and the tour ended around 3 PM. The guide provided explanations in both Spanish and English. At the site, I paid about 70 Soles each way to ride a horse or motorcycle to near the summit. I was told it would take about 1 hour and 20 minutes to walk slowly, but since I felt motion sickness from the bumpy mountain road during the drive from Cusco to the trailhead, I chose the motorcycle up. I walked back down, which I think took less than an hour. Some of the tour participants experienced altitude sickness and seemed to be struggling, and another person vomited on the way back in the car. To be honest, the 4-hour drive each way isn't on smooth roads like in Japan, so I can't pretend it was perfectly fine. The tour itself was reasonably priced and the guide was good, but you should seriously consider whether you want to go there or not.

I'm extremely satisfied because the friendly and meticulous guidance throughout the tour ensured everything went smoothly without any hitches. It was even better that we were provided with a first-class seat on the return leg of our round-trip train journey. However, above all, I am deeply grateful to our guide for their heartfelt and detailed explanations, and for their enthusiastic dedication until the very end, even though the tour ran much later than expected, without showing any sign of fatigue.

Great price to see so much in and around Cusco. Our guide Victor was amazing switching between English & Spanish. Only complaint was the rocky start as 4 booking platforms were on the same tour and KLOOK was the least visible and it was hard to connect at the start.

The itinerary is well-planned, with short drives between attractions, making it easy to visit the ancient Inca sites. It's a great choice for people who enjoy scenery and history. The tour guide is knowledgeable and provides detailed explanations. The lunch arrangement is excellent. I recommend this easy day trip to anyone who likes ancient Inca culture.

The tour guide was very diligent and explained everything very carefully. As for the transportation, their roads are absolutely terrible. I really can't imagine how a country's infrastructure could be so bad. The weather was also very hot, and I had to wake up too early. I think giving it a 4-star rating is already pretty good.

I was hesitant because there were no reviews, but I really wanted to visit Vinicunca, so I applied with some doubt, but I had a great time. I suffered from altitude sickness, so I checked whether there were oxygen cans, and I was able to get quick answers via WhatsApp. And our guide! Humberto was so great that I really wanted to leave a review. He switched between English and Spanish, and his quick and clear explanations, headcount checks, and schedule checks were all professional (thumbs up x3). Breakfast and lunch are both served as buffets. Be sure to drink coca tea. The weather is so unpredictable that it was often hard to see, but we still reached the 5,036m summit. You can rent poles or ride horses back and forth (120 soles round trip) from where the ATVs can't go, and I highly recommend horseback riding if you can afford it. Because of the high altitude, you get out of breath after just 5 steps, but the horse handlers pull the horse with me on it and run (thumbs up). And it's cold! We had experience from a previous trip, so we went armed, so it was okay, but other foreigners struggled a lot with the cold. Gloves are a must. Sunglasses are also essential as you ride through snow and rain. Near the summit, many people bring out llamas wearing sunglasses so you can take pictures with them, but I don't know how much it costs. I don't think it's 10 soles... And they also sell alpaca scarves and snacks. Bring extra money in addition to the 30 soles entrance fee.
