Although I missed my original train due to traffic, I was able to change my ticket for free at the counter to take a train of the same class. The area around Kunming Railway Station is prone to traffic congestion, so it's recommended to take the subway or allow extra travel time.

The train station is quite busy. Fortunately, I chose to stay at a hotel within walking distance of the station, so I could avoid traffic by walking instead of taking a taxi. The trains are clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
