Rent a car in Bali
Explore Bali at Your Own Pace
Renting a car in Bali offers the freedom to discover the island's diverse attractions on your own schedule. From the serene beaches of Seminyak and the cultural hub of Ubud to the picturesque Uluwatu Temple perched on a cliff, having your own vehicle means you can experience these destinations without being tied to tour schedules or public transportation.
Inspect Your Rental Car Thoroughly
Before you set off on your Balinese adventure, take the time to carefully check the rental car for any pre-existing damage. Document any scratches, dents, or other issues and report them to the rental agency to prevent any misunderstandings when you return the vehicle. It's advisable to take pictures or even a video as proof. Familiarize yourself with the rental agreement, particularly regarding mileage limits, fuel policies, insurance inclusions, extra charges, and any driving area restrictions.
Child Safety Measures
In Bali, as in many places, the safety of children in vehicles is paramount. If you're traveling with young ones, ensure that you have the appropriate child or booster seats. Check with the rental company beforehand to confirm availability and whether they can install the seats for you. It's essential to comply with local regulations to avoid any legal issues.
Plan Your Route to Avoid Traffic
Bali's roads can get congested, especially during peak tourist seasons and rush hours. Try to avoid traveling during the early morning and late afternoon when traffic is heaviest. Plan your routes to circumvent known traffic hotspots and consider less busy times to travel to popular destinations.
Navigation Made Easy
While Bali's road network can be complex, most rental cars come equipped with GPS navigation to help you find your way. This technology is invaluable for reaching attractions such as the Tegallalang Rice Terraces or the sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary without the stress of getting lost or the expense of a taxi.
Convenient Pickup Locations
Upon arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport, also known as Denpasar International Airport, you'll find various car rental agencies ready to serve you. Choose from a selection of vehicles to suit your needs and budget, and start your journey right from the airport, saving you time and hassle.
Driving in Bali
Remember that in Bali, as in the rest of Indonesia, you'll be driving on the left side of the road. Road signs are generally in both Indonesian and English, but it's always a good idea to ensure your rental car's navigation system is set to a language you're comfortable with. Be mindful of motorbikes, which are prevalent on Balinese roads, and always adhere to local traffic laws to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip.

Fantastic Calya Toyota 10 day
Car condition was acceptable albeit more cleaning could be done as there were draps of rubbish here and there in glove compartments, side doors etc.
Service crew were responsive, courteous and helpful. Pick up and drop off right at the airport which makes it convenient.
