Indonesia Reopens Borders For Leisure Travel

Sunny, vibrant, and fun-loving, Bali was a hugely popular travel destination for Malaysians prior to the pandemic, whether for a romantic honeymoon or a fun family getaway. Following positive announcements of vaccinated travel lanes between Malaysia and countries like Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Australia over the past few months, the latest announcement will delight those who've missed the beaches, villas, and fun vibes of Bali.
The Indonesian government has recently announced plans to drop the existing quarantine requirements for Bali, allowing travellers to obtain visas on arrival and travel to the sunny province without having to quarantine. This trial policy willl be implemented from 14 March 2022!
[Update, 29 March] After success with reopening Bali, quarantine-free travel in Indonesia has expanded to other cities in the country such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Batam, and more.
[Update, 7 April] Citizens from ASEAN countries including Malaysia will be able to enter Indonesia without requiring a visa! Travellers will also no longer need to take an on-arrival PCR test as long as they pass the temperature check.
