Step into the world of Avatar in the heart of Singapore

After eagerly waiting for over 10 years, the highly-anticipated Avatar sequel is finally making way to the big screens in December 2022. To think that it's been almost 13 years since the first release of the epic science fiction film makes us feel old. 🥺 With Avatar 2 (Avatar: The Way of Water) set to be hit cinemas end of this year, buzz is definitely in the air, and it's not just because of the movie.

A magical Avatar experience has officially landing at Singapore's Gardens by the Bay last week, making ripples on social media in recent days. Avatar: The Experience will have a temporary home at Gardens by the Bay's dreamy Cloud Forest, and is an immersive walk-through space based on James Cameron's global blockbuster film, AVATAR.

What to expect at Avatar: The Experience

Even before this, Gardens by the Bay's Cloud Forest has often been compared to the ethereal world of Avatar. Home to one of the world's tallest indoor waterfalls, a lush mountain clad with plants from all over the world, and unique aerial walkways shrouded in mist, it has a magical charm that feels worlds apart from the concrete jungle of Singapore.

The limited-time Avatar-themed space further strengthens the Avatar vibes of Gardens by the Bay with a replication of the environments of Pandora, the fictional planet that serves as the main backdrop of Avatar.

Guests can expect 5 interactive zones with stunning visuals - imagine cascading waterfalls, misty lush greens, mysterious walkways, and mystical, otherworldly creatures (including an incredibly realistic, life-sized animatronic banshee!) lurking in bioluminescent environments.

You'll also get experience 'flying' through the Hallelujah Mountains at the flight simulation kiosks, encounter an artistic cult of a new marine creature (the Ilu from the upcoming film), and be introduced to a baby banshee handled by expert puppeteer docents! ✨ The collaborative, immersive experience is a one-of-a-kind event that will also be a part of Gardens by the Bay's 10-year anniversary celebration.
