We originally wanted to choose the store near Fisherman's Wharf, but initially selected the wrong store, ending up with the one at Golden Gate Park. However, the staff member at the Fisherman's Wharf location provided cross-location service, as their system is connected, so we didn't have to make a special trip to Golden Gate Park to pick up the bikes. There's no insurance option on Klook, but you can add it on-site, or add another bike (if you're unsure if your child can ride). There are trailer or tandem bike options for kids; adults can choose from regular or electric bikes. The website translation mentions "hybrid," but that just refers to the regular bikes. Riding across the Golden Gate Bridge is very enjoyable. It's windy on the bridge, but the view is great. Definitely worth trying. After riding to Sausalito, have lunch or take a break for ice cream, then take the ferry back. If you buy tickets on-site, you can choose to return to Fisherman's Wharf. If you have a Clipper card, you can only return to the Ferry Building. I recommend picking up and returning the bikes at the Fisherman's Wharf location (you'll need to leave an ID, any photo ID will do, no passport required). Riding back along the coast from the Ferry Building is more convenient. Don't choose Union Square for bike return unless you want to, or are used to, riding uphill and sharing the road with buses and cars.
We made the reservation the day before because we were not sure which bike to ride for our two children. The staff at Unlimited Biking was very considerate to help us solve the problem. In the end, we chose a double trailer for our two children. 5ty is just right, it is very comfortable to ride in the park, but it is very hard for dad to ride😂😂😂
First of all, let me write down the things to note. The lunch time is from 12 to 12:30, so they are closed during that time. I made a reservation for the 12 o'clock time and arrived a little late, and I almost had to wait 30 minutes. The area near Fisherman's Wharf was too expensive, so I looked for a cheaper place. Here, you can rent at Golden Gate Park, and you can return it at both Golden Gate Park and Union Square, so I chose it because it was cheap and easy to return. You have to return it by 5 p.m., but if you use up all your time, return it at Union Square, and look around Union Square before it ends and go back to your accommodation, it's perfect. I rented an electric bike, and since I have a lot of things to carry, they gave me two bags. The downside is that you can't enjoy the pier at Golden Gate and go to Golden Gate Bridge, and you can only get a taste of the park, and the road is all hills, so it's a shame. I think the price covered it.
The staff was friendly and carefully checked the condition of the bikes and gave good guidance, so I had no difficulties using it.
For those planning to bike into Sausalito and take the ferry back, I recommend bike shops near Pier 41 or Pier 39! You need to go to Pier 39 to exchange your ferry ticket. The female employee spoke quickly and ignored my mention of a day pass, mistaking it for a 2-hour rental... My battery died, and on the way back to return the bike early, I received an urgent call saying my 2 hours were up. The battery died almost in front of the shop, and I nearly died dragging the heavy electric bike uphill!! They don't provide paper maps, so I had to hold my phone in one hand and look at Google Maps, which ended up damaging my phone. Unless you're a cycling athlete who's fluent in English, I really don't recommend this place!!
