The tour was very pleasant. We saw some mangroves searching for crocs. We didn’t see any, but that was ok as I have seen my fill of crocs in this lifetime. We saw some Irrawaddy dolphins. Then we went to the island. According to the description, we were supposed to see turtles but I think that was misleading since turtles are going to be coming ashore at night to lay eggs. Beach was pretty. The guide confirmed that snorkeling wasn’t very useful off the shore. Nothing to see and the water a bit turbulent. The guide was very friendly and helpful. The tour itinerary should be more transparent.
Brilliant experience. The boat crew were knowledgeable and fun. Klook support via the app and organising the trip were seamless, especially as we only booked the day before for a group of 7. They were even able to provide a vegan lunch for 4 members of our group! Highly recommend
Friendly guides, enjoyable transportation to the pier and relaxing. Easy to book and communicate with thw guide in English. Managed to see dolphins and snorkel, but water is murky and unable to see corals. Turtle conservatory was educational too. Recommended!!
What a great day with OOO HAA tours. On time, comfortable transfer. Fabulous guide and boat captain. We saw the dolphins, a crocodile and a family of proboscis monkeys swinging in the trees, one with a baby! The guide and captain were careful to ensure our safety making sure we wore our life jackets and timing our crossing to the island when the swell was dropping. By the time we had finished lunch and seen the baby turtles snorkeling on the other side was perfect. Again guide and captain very helpful. The snorkelling equipment was top notch. All in all a fantastic day...A side note that the local authorities have the potential for amazing eco tourism here and for that to be successful they really need to deal with the refuse and rubbish on the beaches and shorelines...the authorities need to step in to have it removed on a regular basis to protect this fantastic area.
We had the most fantastic trip! Initial communication via WhatsApp was good. Our guide picked us up from our hotel and we drove to the port in an air conditioned small van. We took a small boat, with some shade and life jackets up and down the river. Immediately we saw a wild crocodile and the irawady dolphins! They were so beautiful and our boat driver was very respectful to them, spotting them from afar and approaching with care. We saw so many in the end, beautiful jumping out of the water! Next week drive slowly along the river looking for monkeys - again, very lucky we spotted several proboscis monkeys with their unusual faces! Then we headed to satang island for lunch (water, tea, chicken rice, sandwiches and pudding - so much food!) where we were very very lucky and saw 2hour old turtles! Then we topped it off snorkelling with loads of gorgeous fish. Our guide especially was fantastic, he was very knowledgeable, approachable and clearly cared a lot for the animal welfare.
Had a great time seeing dolphins and baby sea turtles protected on the island. Fun ride on the boat and lots of chill time. Very friendly staffs.
It was an amazing trip showing the nature surrounding mangrove forest and Salak river. We also visited turtles centre and had a possibilty to see those little ones creatures. Dolphins were also present and eager to show themselves. Great trip , amazing views, highly recommended :) Our guide Mr. Hanafie knew a lot about Sarawak's nature and was a very skilled professional.
the tour was fun. started and ended on time. the guide was informative and could communicate in english. food was decent
Jacky the tour guide was great. He gave us a lot of local tips and updated us on the itinerary throughout. Captain Amin knows the sea like no other and spots the animals way before anyone could
This was a lovely day out on the water. Our guide Hun and the boatman were brilliant and super friendly. Saw lots of dolphins and turtles and two crocs. Highly recommended
