Night Squid Fishing Experience in Victoria Harbour

it was a nice experience for my children. nice boat. we caught lots of squid considering just in a a short time. we missed a lot too. unfortunately there was a storm so we need to go back. back in the pier, our catch was cooked and boatman is a great cook too. surely will go back again and catch more next time.

pleasant and special experience that you ever get. we did 6:00 pm one, stunning sunset view and nice breezing, and luckily saw a group flying fishes jumping above the water alongside the boat , also a big jelly fish glooming under the water. Using fluorescent fishing lines and hooks as lures, the squids will chase and bite. The moment they get hooked, they instantly release ink. The squids appear red in color, making it easy to tell when one is caught—it's a truly fun experience. The captain cooks the freshly caught squid right on the boat, adding local ingredients and seasonings, allowing you to enjoy the freshest, most aromatic squid snacks on the spot. The captain is not only skilled at squid fishing but also an excellent cook—really a great guy!

We chose to board the boat at 19:40 at Shau Kei Wan Typhoon Shelter. The boat owner called at 18:00 on the day of the activity to remind us of the boarding time and to make sure that the participants knew the boarding location. It was very considerate. We boarded the boat on time at 19:20 and stopped in Tseung Kwan O for about 20 minutes to fish for cuttlefish. After introducing the equipment and squid fishing methods, we officially started. The waves were relatively large that night, and there were few squids. There were 3 times during the period when I caught fish, but unfortunately I didn’t catch any in the end... Fortunately, the boat owner had prepared in advance and stir-fried some vegetables. Collect the fishing gear and process the fish. It is rare to have a quick stir-fried cuttlefish (in the past, it was blanched), and the children praised it for its taste. 😋Each person had a bottle of water and a can of soda, a small stir-fry + fried fish. Although I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t catch any squid, it was a perfect end to the activity.

Chartering a boat costs 9k, which is very cheap, and it’s quite far to go to Saigon and it’s inconvenient to go back at night. After searching a lot of guides online, I finally found this platform! Really handsome! Groups of 10 people, very friendly to individual travelers! You can choose the time flexibly, there is a row of dragon boat boats nearby, it rains all day long, the weather is not good! My land is so beautiful, the rock is so beautiful, the weather is the best in this book, 🌆 the dusk is great! And there are so many cuttlefish that the entire sea is filled with cuttlefish! Everyone has gained something! Get on the boat at Kwun Tong on time at 1900 (the boat operator will call about an hour in advance to confirm the number of people and itinerary. Klook does not provide the boat operator’s contact information). The boat stops near Tseung Kwan O and starts teaching cuttlefish fishing 🦑 Highlights: The boat operator is hospitable and very nice ! It’s very interesting to help lure the cuttlefish over! Step by step instruction! first rate service! 🫡🫡 The cuttlefish is cooked immediately after catching it, and the boatman will cut all the internal organs! The taste is top notch! Returning to Kwun Tong Public Pier before 2300 is a worthwhile experience! Positive 🎉

In fact, I wanted to catch cuttlefish for a long time, and finally found someone to go with me🤭 Boatman Ak is a good person, so careful, and so talkative😂Three good. 😌 Before departure, I called and mentioned the number of my boat. I knew that my friend and I were fishing for squid for the first time. It was easier than the one on the left. The boatman patiently explained the skills of squid fishing. I successfully caught 3 fish left than me, and I have the confidence to return to d😏😏 The boatman showed off his cooking skills again, which made me a real feast😋😋 On the return trip, the lights on the boat were turned off for a while, and the gentle sea breeze was blowing again, plus the food was all-you-can-eat Full of satisfaction, I really want to teach for a while 🥱 Thank you to the two hostesses on board ☺️ for an unforgettable and pleasant evening 🥰👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Amazing experience in Hong Kong! I've always wanted to try traditional handline fishing for squid, and the captain made it very easy for me to learn! Shortly after, he cooked us up 2 delicious meals with the fresh squid. Outstanding services and hospitality. Can't wait to do it again!
