Grampians Hiking Day Tour
- Immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscape as you go on a hiking day tour to Grampians
- Explore Grampians National Park on foot with your knowledgeable, English-speaking guide
- Grab plenty of photo opportunities at two stunning lookouts, The Pinnacles and Boroka Lookout
- Marvel at one of the largest and most beautiful waterfalls in Victoria, the Mackenzie Falls
- Two moderate to challenging hikes with a total distance of 6.5km
What to expect
We embark on our first hike of the day, a moderate 4.2km return hike that weaves us through fascinating rock formations, including the Grand Canyon and Silent Street before we arrive at The Pinnacle, the most iconic destinations in the park. This famous jagged cliff face is quite the sight and there will be plenty of time to soak up the views and capture some amazing photos.
Once we return, we will head into Halls Gap for a delicious lunch at one of our favourite local cafes before the drive up to MacKenzie Falls. This small walk is a steep 2km trail but you will be rewarded with one of Victoria’s largest and most beautiful waterfalls. Feel free to dip your toes in the icy mountain water to refresh your feet.
Our next stop is the picturesque Boroka Lookout where you will be able to experience stunning views of Halls Gap, Lake Bellfield and Mt. William mountain ranges. We return to the delightful local village of Halls Gap where we will reveal one of the local kangaroo’s favourite hangout spots before making the journey back to Melbourne.

Reviews
Challenging hike especially as it started to rain on the way down so it got slippery, remember to be prepared for wet weather and wear suitable hiking shoes as its mostly rock paths. But the views were definitely worth it, wild kangaroos and ice cream were a great ending to the day trip. Our guide Marcus was patient and waited for the slower ones to catch up, and one guy wandered off at the waterfalls but he went to look for him successfully before continuing the trip.
Our Grampians Hiking Day Tour was exceptional! Stunning scenery, knowledgeable guide, and well-organized itinerary. A perfect blend of adventure and nature. Highly recommended for hiking enthusiasts!
great views! it was a bit fast paced during the hike so not recommended for beginners. our guide was okay, not energetic but will provide necessary info if needed.
It is one of the best and must-tour in Melbourne. The team was experienced and professional, and the trip was well organized with a small group. We had a lot of fun on the trip and a good hike. The trial is not long, but you do need a pair of good hiking shoes as you need to walk on the sandy rocks (which can be a bit slippy). The whole national park is an amazing place with great nature views and cute wildlife. We love the tour and definitely recommend it.
I am so blessed to join this hiking trip under Klook - Hide & Seek. The tour guide is so kind and thoughtful to prepare foods n drinks for us during the trip. He took care of all of us to ensure none was left behind and give me a hand n support whenever I needed it as I was the slower one for the team. Appreciate his kindness to extend extra care to me. Thank you.
The hike was very fun but did require certain level of physical fitness/ hiking experience. Our tour guide Michael took care of us and kept everyone engaged. The view on the hill top was breathtaking. Highly recommended!
A great small group hiking tour experience ☺️ Shoutout to Shane our awesome and vivacious tour guide for showing us the way. Truly amazing views of the Grampians, Mackenzie Falls and Australian wildlife like Kangaroos, Wallabies and Emus. Highly recommend for friends or anyone looking to explore the Grampians for the first time😁
Great experience! Super friendly and knowledgeable and guide (shout out to Jeremy). The Grampians is definitely the highlight of my trip to Melbourne. Love that this tour is a smaller group of 8 people in total. Highly recommend!
Pricey but worth splurging with this company compared to others. Highly reccomend. The coffee/tea is really delicious. Guide was a local aussie, and really knowledgeable.
It was a nice hike from start to end, relatively easy with even the elderly being able to complete the hike. The guide was considerate to every persons strengths and accomodated accordingly. In terms of food, we stopped at a bakery to buy a sandwich to have at the top. And we were provided a nut bar by the guide (no fruits) but it was sufficient.
