I think Candi Plaosan should definitely be included in the tour. There's more than enough time to visit this small, beautiful temple without waiting in line. It gives a good initial impression of what Prambanan will be like later on – ideal as an introduction to the temple history. The transfer was punctual and very professional; my tour guide was extremely flexible and responsive to my needs. If you're sensitive when cycling, you should ask for an extra seat cushion. Even in the rain, the tour was very atmospheric. If you do it in the afternoon, you can then have dinner at the restaurant where the tour starts – beautifully situated in the middle of the rice fields. Overall, a wonderful way to escape the traffic and noise of Yogya. The encounters in the villages were a highlight: lots of warmth and many smiles freely given. Highly recommended.
Our guide, Ibu Neng, is friendliest n knowledgeable. she share with Us on how the process of grains to rice, bringing Is to Toafu maker, Angklung workshop, Gamelan house and lastly to her house. this village activities is exciting n educational. a worth to give it a try everyone 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Long overdue feedback! Triningsih was so well informed and answered our questions well. Well conversed in english as well. Love the route and pitstops.
This is the perfect get away when the hustle and bustle of Jogja is too much. Ning, Joko and Tanti took excellent care of us and we always felt 100% safe even when we had to cross busy roads. The peaceful and easy ride took us past picturesque rice paddies, village communities and temples. What made it special was the genuine smiles and greetings when we passed Tanti’s neighbours. We also learnt how to make belinjau crackers and play the angklung and gamelan as well as buy the items direct from the makers and artisans.Tanti and Joko also brought us to their home where we partook in real Javanese hospitality. The hours flew by and we ended the day with lunch at the restaurant by the paddy fields. I definitely recommend this tour as you’ll see and experience a slice of authentic Javanese life.
It was a wonderful experience. The village was beautiful. Before the cycling tour, the staff served me tea and local snacks. During the ride, we stopped by a local public building that featured traditional instruments, as well as rice fields, a tofu factory, and a local snack factory. The staff kindly explained the local culture to me. I highly recommend it as a great way to experience the local culture and everyday life up close.
I think this was my favourite tour in Yogya. Ning is a kind and warm local host who will bring you around her town near Prambanan. it was nice to get to experience all the local stuff, tofu making, angklong playing. much more convenient to explore via bike than to take a grab or walk. 💯👍 recommend!
We had a really fun day with Ning, our guide, and her husband. Ning rode a bicycle with us while her husband rode a motorcycle behind us. Her husband is the photographer and also the man in charge for the security on the road. He stopped the traffic when we had to cross an intersection and so on. We feel really safe on the road. Ning speaks really good english and explained everything with patience. All the places we visited were fun and informative. We had fun drinking coconut water and fried tofu during the breaktime while also enjoying learning how to play angklung. We recommend this half day tour for those who wants to go somewhere out of touristic place. You will be visiting rice fields, villages, local houses for tofu and tempe production. You will be interacting with locals. The sun is harsh so dont forget to put on your sunscreen lotion!
Nice view along the way. Tour guide is friendly and visited multiple shops along the way. Quite interesting.
Triningsih was our guide and her service was amazing. She brought us to so many places where it is include and outside of the itinerary of the tour! It is clear that she has a direct connection with the local community where the pedestrian would greet her all the time throughout the tour. She also lives in the neighborhood where she showed us her home. Given it is a private tour, we also get to know more about her personal story. It is a pleasure to do a private tour with her. Michael
Our guide Noor contacted us one day before the scheduled tour and was picked up from our hotel in the early morning. There are 2 types of bicycle available, the mountain bike and foldable ones. Bike conditions is good and easy to ride on. Noor is well verse in English and is always ready to answer any question you have. We made many pit stops to learn about the activity in the neighbourhood and Noor helped to take many nice photos along the way. We were greeted by many neighbours along the way and Noor would make small talks with them. It is definitely something we don’t experience living in the city. Love the activities and the whole journey planned. Thank you Noor for being so kind and to show us the real beauty of this place.
