Hida Takayama Old Town Takayama Old Town is a famous historical town in Japan that once flourished as a merchant town. In particular, the three main streets of Kami-machi and Shimo-machi are known as the “Old Town District.” Strolling through these streets, you can admire the continuous row of lattice-fronted buildings, the water channels flowing under the eaves, and the sake breweries with their “Sugidama” (cedar ball) signs made of cedar leaves, all of which exude a rich traditional atmosphere. These old buildings and shops are full of historical traces and are symbols of Takayama’s history and culture.
Shirakawa-go Gassho Village Shirakawa-go, located in the Hida region of Japan, is a village known as a “Japanese secret village,” famous for its unique Gassho-style (prayer-hand style) architecture. These traditional building groups were designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings in 1976 and were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1995 along with Gokayama in Toyama Prefecture. Shirakawa-go not only showcases the original landscape of rural Japan but also preserves a deep rural culture and way of life, and is known as “Japan’s original home.” The Gassho-style buildings in Shirakawa-go are famous for their wooden beams that cross to form a mountain-shaped structure, a design that adapts to the area’s heavy snowfall. The unique style of these buildings makes you feel as if you have stepped into an ancient world where time stands still, allowing you to experience the charm of traditional Japanese culture.
Shin-Hotaka Ropeway The Shin-Hotaka Ropeway is famous for its unique double-decker gondola, the only one of its kind in Japan, allowing passengers to easily climb to an altitude of over 2,000 meters and enjoy the magnificent natural scenery surrounded by the Northern Alps. From the mountaintop observation deck on the roof of Nishi-Hotakaguchi Station, visitors can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view at an altitude of 2,156 meters. The stunning scenery here has been awarded two stars in the Michelin Green Guide and has become a must-visit destination for many tourists.
Hida Folk Village Hida Minzoku Mura, also known as Hida no Sato, is an open-air museum situated in a natural environment, designed to recreate the ancient lifestyle of the Hida region. This museum exhibits many traditional thatched-roof houses, allowing visitors to gain an in-depth understanding of the culture and life of the Hida people. In winter, there is a limited-time light-up event at the Gassho-style village, which is one of the most popular winter activities in the area.

Reviews
The tour guide was very thorough in explaining everything to us. The time spent at each stop was sufficient. The hotel was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and it was conveniently located near the station for shopping! They also didn't push any products or souvenirs on us, which was great! I would like to experience it again next time!
I am very satisfied with this trip, including: the tour guide and the judicial are very professional, the food and accommodation are very good, and there is a hot spring hotel to stay in, which is very cost-effective. The most important thing is that the scenic spots are beautiful. Highly recommended

Ropeway was modern and relatively fast. Alp view was fantastic. Takayama old town coffee shops and hida beef were good. Hida no Sato looks fairy tale like village w night illumination..Great tour.
The attraction schedule was appropriate, and the guide was very professional. In addition, the vast majority of the group were Taiwanese, with both older and younger people, and everyone was very punctual. Therefore, regardless of the departure location, the bus always left on time. As a Hong Kong traveler, I am satisfied with the experience.
