much more quiet than the other kongsi. Non-descript entrance on a very busy street. Well worth the visit and the opportunity to enjoy some peace and quiet from the tourist crowd
Nice overall experience with seamless ticket. One of the major clans which shifted from China to Malaysia
You can learn about the history of the clan, as well as the history of Chinese immigrants at the time.
The vast area contains the kongsi itself and several additional buildings. The inspection takes about 1 hour.
At the door, the staff was not familiar with Klook and insisted that only cash was accepted. He was told that there was no machine that could scan. He didn't know and told him to come back tomorrow. However, there were appointment times on the ticket. After I told him that there was an appointment time, he went to the office to find someone. Finally, he successfully got the ticket. It took a long time. The weather was so hot that it was not very comfortable. Maybe because of the ticket, many people chose to only take pictures outside. There were very few visitors, so the experience was good and it was interesting inside, but please make some progress when exchanging. In addition, it was quite small inside. Considering the price in Malaysia, the ticket was very expensive. Many people chose not to go in directly, which was a pity.
I couldn’t use QR cord which paid via Klook because the office of here was closing. I could choose the date on this app, so I went yesterday. I could enter in this place thanks to a kind staff but I really disappointed in Klook again.
I found it exotic and fun, but if you're not interested in cultural assets or tired of the hot weather, it's best to avoid it. There's no air conditioning and it's not friendly. It seems like they're just collecting expensive garden operating fees by running sprinklers.
nice to look at but this is something which really takes abt 5-10 mins to walk around. Not worth paying anything for such a short walk
