I highly recommend booking this cooking class! Chieko and Kayo did a fanatic job. We not only cooked food but also learned about the ingredients. We chose to make Okonomiyaki(Japanese Pancake), Yakisoba noodles with Side Dishes. There was a a good amount of food so make sure you come on an empty stomach. we booked at 11am which was perfect for lunch time.
This experience was fantastic! We had a personal cooking class and learnt so much about Japanese food and traditions. We would book this again and recommend it to anyone looking for a cooking class in Tokyo!
absolutely excellent! We were fortunate to have only us two with chef Miyuki. she was fantastic. hands on cooking and great meal to enjoy after. Very enjoyable experience. A little difficult to find but suddenly Miyuki appeared with a sign. She was an amazing teacher and person. She gave us many good tips for shopping for knIves as well.
It was a little confusing to find the location based on Google Maps. The studio was great! Cozy and perfect for a small group. Chieko was a great instructor. She recommended a park for us to enjoy our bento at afterwards. perfect afternoon activity!
We had the best experience with our lovely chef instructors, we had use of their equipment in the large commercial kitchen. It was nice and easy to find in a clean and quiet local area which showed us a new view of Tokyo also.
We had a wonderful time at this charming cooking class. "LuLu" and her team of half a dozen ladies were excellent hosts for our large party, ten of us and four from another group. This was the only cooking class we found that would teach such a large party. We had vegetarian, gluten free and sugar free travelers, and they were able to accommodate all of them with alternative recipes. The directions were clear and achievable for home cooks. We made dashi broth, miso soup, gyoza dumplings, savory pancake, rolled scrambled eggs and spinach salad. All were delicious with high quality ingredients. They did a great job explaining the cultural significance and background of each dish and ingredient. We had plenty of time to eat as a group afterwards, and visited with our teachers to learn more about their business and lives. It was a 10 minute walk from the train station, and afterwards we went to the Botanical Garden to walk off our meal. Highly recommended!
Me and my brother went to this class together. The instructor Miyuki was really nice and easy to talk to. She gave easy instructions and explained both the background about the dishes and gave simple and understandable instructions. The class is perfect to learn a new skill and remember your time in japan. I really recommend it💕
excellent … highly recommend cooking with Chieko and her team! super nice and interactive cooking … we learned to make gyoza , cucumber marinade and takoyaki… our kids loved it too! highly recommend! mahalo Chieko and team ! 🙌🏽🤙🏽
it was an awesome experience, not only learning how to cook authentic Japanese food but also learning the culture behind the food we were cooking.
We had a wonderful and educational time with Chieko, who, with her extensive knowledge, showed us how to prepare Miso soup, Gyoza, and Takoyaki – and those wonderful marinated cucumbers that come cold from the fridge and are so refreshing. It was just my mother and I in the class, and we had a fantastic time. Thank you very much for the insights and the recipes. We are already looking forward to making them at home 💫
