Our journey begins not just with cooking but also with a visit to a local supermarket. Japanese supermarkets are a treasure trove, offering an extensive range of meats, fish, vegetables, and an array of unique seasonings.
Once we've gathered our ingredients, we'll transition to a kitchen studio to embark on our cooking session. Under guided instruction, you'll master the techniques of Japanese home-style cooking, from wielding a Japanese knife with precision to preparing foundational elements like dashi for miso soup and crafting sushi rice seasoned with vinegar. Beyond sushi, you'll delve into creating authentic dishes such as miso soup, eggplant dengaku, and the delightful dashimaki tamago (rolled egg).

I loved starting at the supermarket and learning what ingredients to buy and how to choose them. The food we made was delicious and the whole experience felt relaxed and welcoming. What an excellent experience! First we went grocery shopping which was great to identify ingredients to tale back home, then the cooking class was wonderful! we prepared sushi, miso soup, japanese omelette and eggplant with miso sauce. I would recommend this exoerience to anyone who wants to take a bit of japanese cuisine back home with them
We had a brilliant experience! Taka (our guide) was friendly and walked us through the steps for cooking a range of Japanese dishes. I would highly recommend this experience! We loved learning about the different food and are excited to recreate some of the dishes when we get home. The tour around the supermarket was also really informative and a great part of the experience.
this sushi making experience was perfect, from the local supermarket shopping to our chef, to the food we made, we had an amazing time! you get to cook 4 different meals as well as have green tea and alchol tasting. the meals were delicious and the experience overall was more than we imagined thanks to our chef Moto. Definitely recommend booking this tour, the price also can’t be beat!

We loved this experience - Taka shared precious insights on how to choose the right pieces of salmon and tuna to make the best sushi, and was very helpful during the cooking part of the experience. Lots of great advice on sake pairing as well! We loved eating the food we prepared and can’t wait to replicate these recipes at home.
she was so kind and careful. It started with choosing good vegetable and fish. Also, how to choose btw sauce(miso). She always gave chance to try every ingredient and process if maing food. I'd really recommend this activity.
