One of our favorites. We loved the area and the fact that you could reserve the onsen privately (we did it at night and had some of the best nights sleep!). Staff was super nice too.

Location: Walking distance to Gora station, but is a bit of a walk uphill and can be hard to find at first. (There is a house that even put up signs since they keep getting bothered by guests looking for the place.) Staff: Friendly and very helpful. They're very much interested in socialising with the guests and providing a warm atmosphere in the common room/lobby/bar. Cleanliness: Better than expected for such an old building. The rooms were tidy and kept clean. Common areas are also maintained well. Facilities: For the price, you can't really find much fault with this place. A solo cypress onsen bath can be used at any time (as long as other guests aren't occupying it), and a bigger stone bath can also be reserved by guests for up to 4 people in 40min slots. Room is barebones, but you get what you pay for. Common area is a cool socialising spot where the owners also run a bar.
