Things to do in Arashiyama Bamboo Forest

We had the best tour guide, Jack was amazing. He showed us around the park, the shrine, and even offered to make us reservations at a restaurant after our tour since we didn’t know a much Japanese ourselves. This experience went above and beyond my expectations and we would definitely go again!

A peaceful and entertaining boat ride through the river. I felt safe 100% of the time and the boatmen were funny and entertaining. safety: 100% - everyone wears life vests experience: scenic view of beautiful nature, lush green forests everywhere (would be amazing during Sakura season and later in October/November when the trees change colors) with some fast moments on the river instructor: proficient in English, absolute charming and knowledgeable about the area. also: super funny - everyone was laughing location:the ride ends near entrance of Arashiama Bamboo forest

Huahua was a fantastic guide and made our day trip to Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Nara Park and Fushimi Inari so enjoyable. He looked after all of us throughout the day, making sure we knew where to go, what to see, and the history and significance of each place. He kept us all together and on time while making everything feel relaxed and easy. It was a beautiful day, made even better by having such a wonderful guide. We would highly recommend Huahua!

The tour was well worth the money, and our guide, Gary, was very professional. When I visited Osaka last winter, I booked a one-day tour through Klook, and the guide contacted me via WhatsApp beforehand. This time, no one contacted me in advance, which made me quite anxious. However, everything started very smoothly once we arrived at the designated time and meeting point. My husband, children, and I had a wonderful trip, enjoyed a delicious lunch, and had a great time tasting green tea. I highly recommend booking this tour if it's your first time visiting the places on the itinerary, as it takes care of your meals and transportation.

Amazing day out of the city. Great itinerary - we saw so much without feeling rushed and with having our own time to explore! Jack gave great commentary about Kyoto and Nara. We had a 9yo and an 18yo and they both enjoyed the day, regardless of their age difference. Bamboo Grove and Kimono Forrest were favourites. Great day trip out of Osaka.

Very fun and informative trip with our guide Natsuki- she was super knowledgeable and helpful. We really enjoyed all three locations, and Natsuki was able to provide lots of interesting context for the temples and pathways. She also suggested a second tour to us which we took and really enjoyed. Strongly recommend this tour! guide: Natsuki is the best!

I had a great day in Kyoto! The itinerary was great and we managed to do and see so many things in one day. All of the activities were amazing and things i wanted to see and it was all really well organised and easy. I went as a solo traveller and if you’re looking for an easy day trip to Kyoto with no stress about transport and creating an itinerary then i highly recommend this tour!!! wonderful day trip, if you have walked too much but still have so much to see book this. we were able to see 3 very different locations, some which would be difficult to access on our own and all at a very easy pace. The guide was lovely, welcoming and shared perfect historical knowledge throughout.

The guide was lovely, friendly, and took extremely good care of us. The stories were very eerie and frightening, and the locations gave us goosebumps every time we clicked the shutter to take a photo. My daughter and I had a wonderful time. Thank you for giving us such an exciting experience and for taking such good care of us.
