Transport in Ha Long

We booked pickup at 1100. We turned out to be ready at 1000. I WhatsApp the agent asking for a change in schedule. We got a reschedule instantly and save us an hour in waiting. Be prepared for a short walk in Old Quarter if the drop off is on Weekend. My driver had been deligent in finding the way to hotel following Google map but driving in Old Quarter is always a challenge on weekend.

I am very happy with the driver and the journey. I only wish to clarify if the toll to be paid is 500.000. He paid it and later I gave him cash over and above. See the screenshot. Later it seemed to me that he may have added 500,000 VND to a VETC account, which is used to pay highway tolls automatically. So not sure. This clarity should be given to the customer

easy to book. pickup was great from Halong Bay International Port where we disembarked earlier in the day and then went to Sapa. They messaged me quickly to confirm the booking and asked to change us to the upper cabins, which was fine by us and got a 100k VND refund since the upper cabins are cheaper. The seats are comfortable and I even enjoyed the massage function in the chairs. Took a nap and watched some BTS to kill some time. since it was comeback day! 💜 There is also a USB port to charge your phone so it was easy to pass the time. We arrived late in Sapa, but it was overall a safe and comfortable trip!

I contacted them via WhatsApp, and although there was a communication mix-up at one point (the platform confused the recipient, making me think I had to board earlier), I eventually got on the shuttle at the agreed-upon pickup point and time. I recommend choosing VIP seats for more comfort (since the ride is at least 2 hours). The boarding times are generally within a two-hour window, which is pretty good!
