Highly recommend if you don't have many days to visit Iceland. Even if you have, it is still worth the price. Voucher received via email is real time. Able to get cheaper rate than the site and bought on the spot. Excellent exhibition and very well worth for the price paid as we get to experience lava & ice cave & aurora and more knowledge on Iceland. Actual aurora viewed at the observation deck.
Some might say it's nothing special...but that person probably didn't fully experience it. If you spend at least two hours with ample time and participate in all the programs that Perlan has prepared, you'll find yourself excited when you leave. The staff subtly provides guidance when you're lost, allows you to enter an hour before your reservation time, and guides you to the next course without being asked. All the staff were so kind, which made me, as a traveler in a foreign land, feel grateful. The aurora ceiling in the hot spot, the 3D experience hall including last year's Blue Lagoon volcano, the aurora experience hall, and the outdoor observatory on the 4th floor, various weather experiences...the endless rainbows, and the aurora I encountered only once in 7 days...lucky me...I want to drive around and revisit it with my husband. It was early October, but it felt like winter. I'm determined to go back with my husband in the snowy season. Thank you, Iceland. And thanks to HREYFILL 5885522 taxi, which the hotel lobby introduced me to since there's no Uber. It's also great that Reykjavik, where you can walk to most famous tourist attractions in about 20 minutes, is such a peaceful capital city.
Easy redemption of ticket via Klook app in exchange with a reusable wrist band for entry and instructions on the recommended route. Went in and watched a brief introduction on Icelandic quakes and volcanos with vibrating seats to mimic the tectonic plates. After this, is a very nice history on Iceland's formation and wildlife, followed by a smell riched educational volcano show of Geldingadalir eruption in 2021. Next is entry to the 100m ice cave made of real ice. A series of exhibitions followed and ended the experience with a panoramic view of Reykjavik. Very informative experience to sum up a trip to Iceland. Definitely a must visit in Iceland if you have a few hours to spare.
This place is a treasure trove of information, offering a deep dive into the wonders of Iceland's nature. I spent a few hours here and thoroughly enjoyed the food and ice cream. It's also a fantastic spot to relax and catch a stunning sunset. Highly recommend visiting!
Great attraction to learn about Iceland and its unique biodiversity and geography! loved the ice cave sited within and don’t forget to check out the rooftop that gives your a panoramic view of the entire Reykjavík area!
Perlan is an interesting museum. We visited the next day after our arrival so we can have a greater understanding and better appreciate the various day tours we will be going. Besides the different interactive exhibits, it also has a separate northern lights show, a Volcano show and a replica of an actual ice cave for you to explore. We also had lunch there at its revolving restaurant. The ice-cream was decent too.
Good place to visit at the start or end of your trip - informative and puts places you visit into perspective. Great place to see the northern lights at the exbihit if you don’t get a chance to see it on your trip!
We enjoyed all aspects of the museum. We had just finished our Ring Road trip and this was a strand that tied our trip together- answered remaining questions.
