Sun Moon Lake One-Day Tour from Taichung

I travelled alone and had a wonderful experience with a well knowledgeable tour guide. The places we visited were perfect, not rushed with amazing views. Lunch was a casual atmosphere with nice food. highly recommend.

we are lucky that we are the only group going there. it is a rejuvenating tour and the guide share with us the history and how the area is. also, knowing my mum has difficulty in walking, he modify the itinerary slightly so that we still can view and enjoy the tour without much climbing and steep walking. the pagoda is one tiring steps, we skip the toads. the food is taiwan local dishes, they taste really good.

Lisa Sun is a wonderful tour guide! She is friendly, personable, and passionate in teaching the history of Taiwan and Sun Moon Lake. She made the tour enjoyable and took many lovely photos for my group. Lisa maintained excellent communication and reached out the night prior to the tour to confirm hotel pickup. The itinerary of the tour is well planned and covers the major highlights of Sun Moon Lake, including Ci-en Pagoda, Wenwu Temple, Riyue Village/Ita Thao Pier, Xuanguang Temple/Pier, Shuishe Village, and Nine Frogs Stack. Ample time was provided at each location. Lunch at a delicious local restaurants is included. Our driver drove carefully and was mindful of people who get carsick. Sun Moon Lake is a beautiful place and I recommend this comprehensive tour with Lisa Sun. Of note, a few of the sites require being able to hike up stairs/hills. The total duration of this tour was around 9-10 hours and our group size was 6.

Very complete excursion to Sun Moon Lake. Thanks to our guide Lisa, we were able to better understand the place and learn more about Taiwanese culture. The journey from our hotel went very smoothly thanks to our great driver. And the meal was very varied and of quality.

our guide, Ah Ling brought us around the sun moon lake and describe to us the history of the place and how it was developed over time. Sun moon lake is truly a nice and relaxing place to go and i will go back there again.

Tour guide Yu ling was very friendly and did a good job! Pick up at our hotel is a plus point. She gave good descriptions and clear explanations on the place we went and make sure we know what to expect. Love the tour a lot and its worth the price. Tour guide ( i think her name was chen ah ling 阿姨... 63 years old if im not wrong). SHE IS AMAZING!!! She is like a mom bringing everything that you NEED in our trip! Jackets, umbrellas and even explained everything in detail about the history of each places we went! More than just a tour guide, I believe this is what we need - comfort! She picked us up from the hotel and send us back safely! She's super friendly, caring and enthusiastic in her work. The Tour Guide first of all is very friendly and knowledgeable, and sun moon lake tour itself is very good. The places around sun moon lake is so beautiful. The tour also includes a lunch meal which is super tasty, and boat tours around the lake.

Our tour guide Mr Li was super nice, super friendly and very accommodating. We were picked up at taichung train station together with other guests and off we went to sun moon lake. Although lunch was included in the package, all of us did not have lunch and we were all snacking along the street. Mr Li is super friendly and knowledgeable about the surroundings. Go to try this package if you do not likw going through hassles of making plans and planning itinerary.

The itinerary is different from the planned itinerary on Klook but I definitely enjoyed the real itinerary. I think they would get more business if they updated the klook information. The pickup and driver/ car info was emailed to me the day before. Pickup was waiting for me on the time stated and van was spacious and clean. We first went to the visitors center for a quick 30 min washroom and break, then to the Wen Wu Temple for 1 hr, then to the shopping street for 1 hr and then they brought us to a generous home style lunch for 1 hr, which was covered for by the tour. Afterwards, we were given tickets to the boat cruise and left to our own devices to make our way around the 2 stops the boat made (no time limit given so I ended up reaching out to the driver via text to let him know we were ready to leave). Last stop was the Ci En Pagoda. Overall I felt this was worth the money and great. The driver, Mr. Hu also explained in English meet up instructions to the one passenger that did not understand Chinese (even though he was booked for the Chinese speaking only tour).
