Taiwan Travel Sun Moon Lake Line｜Taichung Gancheng Station・High Speed Rail Taichung Station-Sun Moon Lake｜Round trip ticket

For our first time taking the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle to Sun Moon Lake in Nantou, we took it from the Taichung High-Speed Rail Station to the Sun Moon Lake Visitor Center. The Taiwan Tourist Shuttle staff at the Taichung High-Speed Rail Station were very friendly, so you don't have to worry about not finding the place to exchange your tickets. The ticket exchange process was also very simple, just show your voucher QR code to successfully exchange for a paper ticket, then scan it when you get on the bus!

Very good is that when you arrive, there is a systematic queue card. The shop is a bit old, it is a single room shophouse, so check the time before going, but you have to go half an hour before the time so that the car is not full.

This is a very convenient bus service. After exiting the Taichung High-Speed Rail Station, just head to B1 and you'll arrive at the bus stop. The ride takes about an hour and a half.

I bought this to go to Sun Moon Lake. I stayed overnight in Taichung, so I departed from GanCheng Station instead of the High-Speed Rail station, but it was nice because this was the first departure point, so I could choose my seat. When you exchange the round-trip tickets on the way there, the staff wrote "return" on the return ticket to make sure I didn't mix up the outbound and return tickets. On the way back, I was able to get off in front of the Taichung Train Station.

Really convenient and straightforward. Free seating, cheaper than otc and staff both in taichung and nantou are really helpful. Check the timetable because some buses go until the visitor center.

easy to redeem. group tour with other travellers. when you reach you need to check whether the next bus still has space, if not then you will take the next bus.

This was my fifth trip to Taiwan and my first time visiting Sun Moon Lake. The boat ride was great, but the atmosphere of the Date Sao Shopping Street was also great. I rented a bicycle and went to the Xiangshan Visitor Center. The breeze was pleasant and the scenery was great. I'd definitely like to go again.

Easy to obtain tickets. Easy pickup location for us. Bus seats were okay, like regular tour busses. Driving was safe. I would recommend this mode of transport to get to the lake.

it's fast to exchange from e-ticket to printed ones. and directly go to the bus stop to fall into the line. nice!
