Reviews summaryWe had an amazing experience in riding the Gondola one day pass. There’s no line on the way up since we arrived early morning. We also had a fun day in the zoo and we were able to see a lot of animals which can’t be seen in our country.
A Breathtaking Experience, Highly Recommend. We recently took the Maokong Gondola Tour and it was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip! From the moment we stepped into the gondola, we were treated to stunning panoramic views of Taipei’s lush green hillsides. The ride itself is smooth, scenic, and genuinely memorable. But the true gem of this tour was our visit to the Gaomei Wetlands, a place that completely took our breath away. The vast, open landscape stretching out toward the horizon, with windmills dotting the skyline and the golden light reflecting off the shallow waters, was nothing short of magical. Whether you’re a nature lover, a photographer, or simply someone looking to escape the city buzz, Gaomei Wetlands delivers an unforgettable experience.
The Maokong Gondola was such a wonderful experience! 🩵🚠 We are so glad we did not miss this out considering its our last day in Taiwan and the weather in the past 3 days was rainy. Weather got better that day and we booked this ticket on the same hour and we were still able to avail it. (Kudos to Klook for the ease of booking and discounts👍🏻) The view of the whole Taipei is spectacular and we did not expect it to be a long gondola ride plus the side trip Taipei Zoo tour was vey worth it. 10/10 will definitely do this again with the rest of my friends and family! 🌟🌟Highly recommend this to everyone, and you all should definitely include the Taipei Zoo stop.
The weather was fine when we got there but i would suggest you ride the gondola in the morning because it was foggy in the afternoon after our Taipei Zoo tour. A lot of walking while in the zoo, you need to ride the shuttle bus to transfer to the other area. Overall experience was great.
Great experience! We start first to ride in Taipei Zoo up to the last station Maokong station. From Maokong station, we just ate the tea ice cream which is super delicious! From Gondola you can see tea farm also. Due to lack of time we didn’t able to visit the temples. We focused on maximizing our time in Taipei zoo after our Maokong station. Taipei zoo is really big. My husband feels like it’s his Disneyland since he loves animals. Got to see lazy panda :) Wish there would be more panda to see. Animals ang cute and the zoo is clean and not smelly. It’s like natural habitat to them. You gotta prepare your feet because it has a lot of walking to do. We haven’t see the birds since we lack of time.
This was the best experience in Taipei with a beautiful scenic ride. It's a long ride over lush mountains and city views. There are great views of the Taipei skyline and nature, especially on clear days. The ride itself is smooth and relaxing, and it's not too shaky for most of the journey. It's a unique experience compared to typical city attractions. There's also an optional upgrade to a glass-bottom crystal cabin with a see-through floor, which offers a more thrilling perspective. The area is also famous for its tea houses and numerous ice cream stores that offer tea-flavored ice cream.
Loved the gondola trip we went to the highest part and enjoyed the view, we also tried the local food there 👌. Then we went down and used the the other entrance of the zoo, and we rode the shuttle to go inside the zoo. Then we explored the zoo but sadly the hippo was sleeping because we arrived there after lunch :( . But overall, the other animals were awake and the giraffe was eating which was really fasscinating. The place was really big and we couldn’t finish visiting the entire place. Regardless, I hav a very fun time there!
went here last March! 🤍 I super enjoyed the cable car. 🚠 what makes it better is you can upgrade to crystal cabin for only 50 ntd. Also, you can ride unlimited! Staffs are kind as well. Good thing is I got the shuttle in taipei zoo in my package. I love taiwan 🇹🇼 I’ll get back here! xie xie ~~
enjoyed the maokong gondola and taipei zoo. value for money to get the passes. will try again once i go back to taiwan. zoo is very big and lots of animals, the shuttle helped get around better. was not able to fully maximize the unli gondola
First time riding a cable car and it was fun! We upgraded to crystal cabin which was nice as we were able to see what’s down below. We enjoyed the view in which we were able to see the Taipei 101 tower and other buildings as well as greeneries. We also explored the Taipei Zoo where we saw a lot of animals specially the famous panda!
