We have lots of experience modding Gameboys. Gameboy modding has been our decades long hobby before starting our business in 2024.
All members of our team are gamers/retro gamers/nerds. You will have a great time chatting, asking questions, and nerding out.

What to expect

Welcome to +Y. We started this workshop in 2024 with the goal of sharing our passion for Retro Gaming. Join us for an in-depth Gameboy modding session. We promise it will be fun.

The workshop starts with a brief introduction into the history of the Gameboy, and other retro gaming consoles. You will be able to play on our retro game collection as we introduce them.

You will then choose the color combinations of the buttons, case, screen cover. We have a wide range of parts to choose from and unlimited combinations. You can also ask the staff for inspiration because we have seen many combinations.

After choosing the colors, you will take apart your Gameboy, clean the motherboard, and reassemble. We won’t spoil it for you with specifics but it will be fun and safe.
